Caesars: More Bets On Kelce Anytime TD Than All San Francisco Spread Bets

Are bettors getting caught up in all the Travis Kelce Super Bowl hype on the sports betting front, especially the off-field stuff, or are the player prop numbers coming out more on the astute end of things?

Super Bowl LVIII is this Sunday, 6:30 p.m. at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the San Francisco 49ers. The game will be broadcast on CBS. Caesars Digital says this morning that they have been seeing more bets on Kelce Anytime Touchdown than all San Francisco spread bets so far.

On the injury front, Sports Illustrated reports this morning that Chiefs’ running back Isiah Pacheco is expected to be on the field despite battling ankle and toe injuries. Guard Joe Thuney (pectoral) is unlikely to play, according to the Chiefs’ official website. Neither player has practiced so far this week. Wide receiver Rashee Rice (ankle) did practice, however.

According to Fox Sports, 49ers’ TE George Kittle is listed as “unknown” for the game, dealing with a toe injury. He did not practice through yesterday.

MOST BET PLAYER PROPS SO FAR

At FanDuel, on the most bet player prop front with NFL odds, Kelce Anytime Touchdown Scorer (2.00), Christian McCaffrey Anytime TD Scorer (1.43), Kelce to Score 2+ TDs (7.50) and McCaffrey to Score 2+ TDs (3.40) are leading the way.

According to BetMGM today, Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes Passing Yards Over 260.5 (1.87) is seeing 68 per cent of tickets, 76 per cent of handle, while Mahomes’ Over 1.5 Passing TDs (1.63) is getting 99 per cent of tickets, 99 per cent of handle.

Purdy Over 12.5 Rushing Yards (1.74) is getting 99 per cent of tickets, 99 per cent of handle, Pacheco Over 65.5 Yards Rushing (1.83) is at 97 per cent tickets, 96 per cent handle, McCaffrey Over 90.5 Rushing Yards (1.87) is at 89 per cent tickets, 92 per cent handle.

GATORADE PURPLE THE GO-TO COLOUR AGAIN?

Last year: Almost half of all Proline+ novelty bets were on the coin toss, with 47 per cent getting it right (tails). Fifty-two per cent of people correctly picked the Over on the length of the U.S. National Anthem and 52% of people also correctly picked the Over on 9.5 songs sung in the Halftime Show.

The majority of people predicted “Yellow/Green/Lime” for the colour of the Gatorade poured on the winning coach. But they were wrong. Only about 11 per cent chose the right colour (purple, the first time the colour was used since 2012). Purple is favoured to be the colour again this year.
