Our Pick for CFL Game of the Week

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 2.00 at Toronto Argonauts 1.83

This game may be more critical for Hamilton than Toronto here. Yes, Toronto wants to open with a win after the pomp and circumstance. Their 2022 memories of winning the Grey Cup cannot be taken away. For Hamilton, losing 42-31 last week was rough.

Bo Levi Mitchell was OK for Hamilton but made two critical mistakes. The 33-year-old got his passes out faster, yet a few bad reads ruined his night in Winnipeg. Now, Hamilton goes off to Toronto to face Chad Kelly. Things do not get any easier.

Hamilton struggled away from home, losing seven of nine games last season. Mitchell and the Tiger-Cats need to protect the football on Sunday. Toronto’s crowd and team are going to be raring to play. Every miscue will get magnified.

Toronto closed well last year and needed all the hell in the world to fend off Winnipeg when it mattered. Now, the bottom line is the Argonauts did it. Toronto might be even better this regular season, especially. Expect their offense to be able to carve out chunks of yardage.

So, Ontario sports betting want to know, what can Kelly do if Zach Collaros sliced Hamilton for more than 350 yards passing and three touchdowns? No one would be surprised by something close to 300 yards and at least two or three touchdowns. Watch for the Toronto running game as well.

Expect Hamilton to attempt to come out better than they did in Winnipeg. That game was 21-4 after one and was over. No matter what, a team cannot go down by 25 at halftime like that. Toronto knows a better effort is coming. Take the Over at 46.5. If one craves some risk, the Argonauts are only -1.5. That should cover.

Who are the Favourites for Most Outstanding Player?

Crazy CFL Bet of the Week

Edmonton Elks 3.30 at British Columbia Lions 1.36

Pundits and fans alike know British Columbia is a huge favourite here. The fun parts are figuring out how to get creative, err crazy, with our sports betting

Edmonton finished 4-5 on the road last season. Again, it was home where they found incredible ways to lose badly. This year, the Elks dropped a brutal 17-13 decision to Saskatchewan. It was a new kind of low.

Can British Columbia unload after scoring only 25 versus Calgary in Week 1? The answer is yes. No one expects 50+ points like last June. That may have been one of the more brutal halves of Canadian football ever witnessed.

Let’s rumble with British Columbia and the -7 to start at 1.91. After that, our crazy bet of the week is the Lions winning by 19-24 points at 8.00.

Power Rankings

  1. Winnipeg Blue Bombers ↔
  2. Toronto Argonauts ↔
  3. British Columbia Lions ↑
  4. Calgary Stampeders ↓
  5. Montreal Alouettes ↑

Extra Points

These are some bonus wagers worth a look at for this week:

  • Winnipeg -3.5 points first half at 1.91
  • Toronto touchdown first scoring play at 4.20
  • Toronto race to 10 points at 1.80
