Week 20 of the 2022 CFL season gets underway on Friday night again as October rolls along.

The playoffs draw ever closer, and we want to help with your CFL betting. Here comes the four-game weekend schedule.

CFL Betting Advice: Going Against The Spread!

Week 19, for Canadian sports bettors, felt like the song “Let The Good Times Roll.” This weekend features two games on Friday and two more on Saturday. Can Edmonton win a game at home? Who wins the Toronto and Montreal clash? There are so many questions.

Here is our ATS Table as Week 20 beckons.

Challenges mount for Ontario sports betting players and their bottom lines while looking into this weekend’s games. Here is the CFL Week 20 Schedule.

This Week’s Schedule with Moneylines (All Times Eastern)

  • Ottawa Redblacks 2.85 at Hamilton Tiger-Cats 1.44, Friday, 7 p.m.
  • British Columbia Lions 1.34 at Edmonton Elks 3.35, Friday, 9:30 p.m.
  • Toronto Argonauts 1.83 at Montreal Alouettes 2.00, Saturday, 4 p.m.
  • Calgary Stampeders 1.70 at Saskatchewan Rough Riders 2.18, Saturday, 7 p.m.

Game of the Week

Toronto Argonauts 1.83 at Montreal Alouettes 2.00

British Columbia should hold on to the second spot in the West Division barring something unforeseen. The good news for Toronto and Montreal is that both teams have clinched a playoff spot. Toronto is two games up with two games to play for the East Division.

Toronto is a slight favourite on the road against Montreal on Saturday afternoon. Ten wins are not enough for the Argonauts. They want to close the division out this weekend. Seeing the “x” in the box score change to a “y” is a huge goal.

For Canadian sports bettors, this may be the most difficult weekend to wager on the CFL. Numbers are a bit all over the place. If one looks at the ATS numbers, Toronto and Montreal are both 9-7 this year. They even kind of cover games the same way. Last week, Montreal had to rally just to clinch a playoff spot as they edged Ottawa 34-30 (see why that points hedge was important).

Bettors have also seen Toronto perform some similar fourth-quarter comebacks this year. Toronto rallied for 16 points in the final stanza against winless at-home Edmonton last week. What does one do here?

The Argonauts and Alouettes have not played each other since way back in Week 2. Toronto edged Montreal 20-19 in that game when Montreal missed a chip-shot field goal. That was so long ago. Both games are must-win situations for Montreal. This will be pretty interesting.

Again, the Montreal and Toronto matchup boils down to the first matchup. The second means little if the Argonauts win. Do the Alouettes fold under pressure? Montreal is so even across the board. They are 4-4 at home +6 point differential and 4-4 in the division.

Bet Montreal at 2.00 and take a shot. Do not forget the Over at 48.5 points as well. Both are risks but worth going for in this Saturday's clash.

Crazy Bet of the Week

Ottawa Redblacks 2.85 at Hamilton Tiger-Cats 1.44

Yes, the Ottawa Redblacks are in this part of the article. Do not adjust your screens. This is one that just seems to carry an excessive amount of risk. However, look a little closer.

Ottawa is 4-4 on the road and has won three of their previous four games away from home. Getting away from Ottawa has served the Redblacks better at this point. Hamilton has not clinched a playoff spot yet and has to feel some pressure. This is a recipe that flirts with disaster.

Here is the crazy bet. Just pick Ottawa to win outright at 2.85. That is it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Power Rankings

  1. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  2. British Columbia Lions
  3. Calgary Stampeders
  4. Toronto Argonauts
  5. Montreal Alouettes

Extra Points

These are some bonus wagers worth a look at for this week:
