Game 1: Suns vs. Spurs Insights

These two games teams are in the middle of a small, in-season series, with the Suns easily winning Game 1 Saturday night in Phoenix, 131-106, led by SG Devin Booker’s 32 points. PF Kevin Durant had 25 points. Led by the offensive triumvirate of Durant, Booker and Bradley Beal, they rank among the best in the NBA there. Their issue is defence – scoring 129 points against the Milwaukee Bucks last week, while giving up 140, for example. The Suns are 16th in the NBA in the points allowed (114.3).

It's not going to get any easier for the Suns after this one if they expect to keep that play-in spot. Their next ten games after tonight are against teams that are heading to the playoffs.

SG Damion Lee is out with a knee injury.

🏀 Bet on Suns vs. Spurs at DraftKings 🏀

Wembanyama is a player prop favourite and had 13 points Saturday night. Wembanyama leads the team with 20.7 points per game, as well as rebounds (10.4). The Spurs have lost three in a row and are 2-8 in their last ten.

But Wembanyama is listed as questionable for tonight – dealing with a left ankle sprain, according to the NBA injury report this morning. The Suns are coming into the game healthy.

Suns vs. Spurs Player Props

If you’re into online betting, most bet player props according to FanDuel, Bradley Beal Over 6.5 Assists (2.00), and Grayson Allen Under 13.5 Points (1.87). At DraftKings, Beal Over 6.5 Assists (1.95), Devin Booker Over 26.5 Points (1.95) and Wembanyama First Field Goal (6.50).

Game 2: Pacers vs. Clippers Insights

This game features two teams with eyes on locking down a Top 4 spot in their respective conferences, both coming off the losses. The Clippers are 22-12 at home; the Pacers 19-17 on the road.

The Pacers are coming off a wild game against the Lakers Sunday – a 150-145 loss, where they were whistled for 31 fouls, compared to just 14 for the Lakers. Looking at the NBA standings, they’re just three games out of the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference – but are .5 games up on the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers for seventh spot.

PF Pascal Siakam came up huge for the Pacers Sunday – 36 points, his highest total for Indiana since they traded for him in January. Siakam, the former Toronto Raptor, leads the Pacers in scoring at 21.8 PPG, and rebounds, with seven per game.

🏀 Bet on Pacers vs. Clippers at FanDuel 🏀

The Clippers are coming off a 121-107 home loss to the 76ers on Sunday. PG James Harden had just 12 points against his former team but did add 14 assists.

Pacers SG Bennedict Mathurin is gone for the season after shoulder surgery. For the Clippers, PG Russell Westbrook has been cleared to play for tonight after a hand issue, SI.com is reporting. PF P.J. Tucker is day-to-day with a calf issue.
