The big question on the betting front for the Raptors this morning is the health of SG RJ Barrett (knee), C Jakob Poeltl (ankle) and SG Immanuel Quickley (thigh contusion). The Raptors have especially missed Poeltl’s size up the middle (7-foot-0, 260 pounds). He’s been out since early January. All three players are listed as questionable for tonight, but Poeltl and Quickley have been practicing with the team, according to reporting.

The Raptors shot .505 (168-333) from the field in the four-game season series against the Chicago Bulls which was settled at two games apiece.

It’s the first game for PG Fred VanVleet against his former team, the one he won an NBA championship with in 2019, before signing as a free agent with Houston last summer. So emotions are high for VanVleet, who’s 30 now. He’s been good – 16.8 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and a 40.8 FG%.

F Tari Eason has been out with a lower leg issue. The big news, though: C Alperen Sengun has an illness and is questionable for tonight, according to ESPN this morning. Plus, the Rockets just made a deal – acquiring C Steven Adams from the Memphis Grizzlies for G Victor Oladipo and three second round draft picks, ESPN is also reporting. Adams is still out with a knee injury.
