NFL Week 18 Highlights: Bills - Dolphins For All the Marbles

It doesn’t get any bigger for the Buffalo Bills (10-6) than Week 18, with their AFC East first-place showdown Sunday night (8:20 p.m. EST) on the road against the Miami Dolphins (11-5).
The Bills have been in playoff mode for five weeks, after a 37-34 OT loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 had oddsmakers pushing them out of the NFL playoff picture. Since then they’ve rhymed off four straight wins.
Competing for the Playoffs
With sports betting, DraftKings today says Bills-Dolphins is the third most bet NFL game this weekend (by bets and handle), following Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans-Indianapolis Colts. The Texans (-1.5) are the most bet team by handle against the spread, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4.5) by bets, and the Ravens are the most bet team on the Moneyline by handle, the Bucs by bets, so far, according to DraftKings.
A lot of big names are sitting out this weekend, resting up for the playoffs – Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Ravens QB and MVP favourite Lamar Jackson and Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco among those.
Five playoff spots are up for grabs this weekend, with 11 teams mathematically capable of getting in. The Steelers need a win and some help. The Colts-Texans is a huge game - winner is in, loser is out of the playoffs. Incredible, a Bills’ loss could see them out of the playoffs entirely. Being the last game of the regular season, wouldn’t it be crazy if the Bills were not only playing for first in the division but also their playoff skin? The Packers are in if they beat the Bears. The Seahawks and Vikings have a shot. That’s just a few scenarios. It’s going to be a wild weekend.
NFL Week 18 Player Props
On the most bet player props end, RB Najee Harris of the Steelers Anytime TD Scorer (2.25), RB Jonathan Taylor of the Colts First TD Scorer (4.80), Taylor To Score 2 or More Touchdowns (3.45) and TE Dalton Schultz of the Dallas Cowboys Over 4.5 Receptions (2.00) are leading the charge at DraftKings so far.
FanDuel tells us this morning that WR Sterling Shepard of the New York Giants Anytime TD Scorer (13.00) and RB Boston Scott of the Philadelphia Eagles Anytime TD Scorer (4.00) are their most bet player props.
At BetMGM, it’s WR Josh Downs of the Colts Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (1.90), WR George Pickens of the Steelers Over 47.5 Receiving Yards (1.87) and QB CJ Stroud of the Texans Over 257.5 Passing Yards (1.87) leading the way with bettors.
For the Bills-Dolphins, it’s WR Tyreek Hill Over 92.5 Receiving Yards (1.87), QB Josh Allen Over 0.5 Interceptions (1.90), and WR Stefon Diggs Over 60.5 Receiving Yards (1.85) seeing the most betting action.
At PointsBet Canada, most bet players props include Allen Anytime TD (1.77) and Over 35.5 Rushing Yards (1.80).
Week 18 NFL Injury Report
On the injury front for the Bills, DT Jordan Phillips (wrist) remains among the bigger names out of the lineup, but the Bills have had big names return over the past few weeks – RDT DaQuan Jones and S Micah Hyde among those.
On the NFL betting front for Bills-Dolphins, Buffalo is favored on the Moneyline at BetMGM, at 1.63 (Dolphins are 2.30). The Spread is Bills -2.5 (1.87), Miami +2.5 (1.95), and the O/U 48.5 (1.91).
