We are at the business end of the Premier League season, and the best betting sites have updated their relegation odds after an eventful few weeks at the bottom of the table.
Sheffield United remain rooted to the bottom of the table, but the four sides directly above them are separated by just eight points.
The relegation battle took a twist when Nottingham Forest were deducted four points for breaching the league’s profit and sustainability rules.
Three sides will drop into the Championship at the end of the campaign, but there are bound to be more twists and turns to come before then.

Sheffield United And Burnley Odds-On To Fall
Sheffield United are overwhelming favourites to finish in the bottom three at -10000 on football betting sites.
The Blades, who have the worst attack and defence in the league, have had little to cheer following promotion to the Premier League last term.
Their squad arguably got weaker over the summer and Chris Wilder has been unable to arrest a slide which began under Paul Heckingbottom.
Burnley have fared marginally better, yet they have still been a huge disappointment after romping the Championship in 2022/23.
Still, Vincent Kompany oversaw a 2-1 victory over Brentford last time out, leaving his side five points shy of 17th.
Luton Town Out Of Bottom Three After Off-Field Ruling
Luton rescued a point against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, as Jake Berry’s goal in the 89th minute saw them avoid defeat at Kenilworth Road.
However, Rob Edwards’ charges have won none of their last eight top-flight encounters.
Despite that, Luton climbed out of the drop zone on Monday after Forest were hit with a four-point deduction.
The Hatters have been competitive for much of the campaign - certainly more so than Sheffield United and Burnley - and they have scored in 17 successive games.
Yet football betting sites price them at -161 to return to the Championship.
Edwards’ team will fight until the end, but a relative lack of quality could ultimately be their undoing.
Forest Drop Into Relegation Zone Following Punishment
Nottingham Forest are now in the bottom three after being hit with a four-point deduction. It is the first time this season that they have fallen into the drop zone.
The club will appeal the punishment and could get one or two points back, but Nuno Espirito Santo will not want to leave anything to chance.
The Portuguese oversaw an initial bounce after taking charge at the City Ground, but results have been poor in 2024; Forest have won just once this calendar year and only six times all season.
There is enough talent within the group for Forest (+138) to survive, but Espirito have some serious work to do over the next two months.
Everton Could Be Handed Another Points Penalty
Everton were originally hit with a 10-point penalty for their own breach of the profit and sustainability rules, but four were handed back on appeal.
However, the Toffees have been unable to take advantage, and an 11-match winless streak has left them just four points from safety.
Everton have been excellent defensively, but an inability to finish their chances has dogged them throughout the campaign. If Sean Dyche had any hair left, he would have pulled it out long ago.
The bookies still expect Everton to stay up, but they have another Premier League charge hanging over them, making odds of +600 very appealing.
Brentford And Crystal Palace Ought To Have Enough
Brentford (+1400) and Crystal Palace (+2000) are expected to keep their heads above water.
Palace have shown signs of improvement under Oliver Glasner and are starting to get key players back from injury. They also have an eight-point buffer above the relegation zone.
Brentford are in a more precarious position. They have lost 14 of their last 18 Premier League outings, including a 2-1 defeat by Burnley.
The Bees are just four points clear of the drop zone as things stand, but Thomas Frank will be taking nothing for granted.
Crystal Palace Not Safe, But Rank Outsiders To Fall
Crystal Palace for their part, are eight points above the relegation zone after winning one, drawing one and losing one of Oliver Glasner’s first three games in charge.
Roy Hodgson’s replacement will hope to lead Palace closer to the top half next term, but he must remain fully focused on the current campaign for now.
The Eagles conceded yet another late goal on Saturday to drop two points against Luton.
If they can start seeing out games better, Palace should have more than enough to survive.
