The Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights slugged it out on the ice for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night in Las Vegas. Florida never got going in this tilt as Vegas scored twice in the opening period. Sports betting fans suspected Vegas might come out even more lethal offensively.

Unlike Game 1, Game 2 showcased the balance and discipline of Vegas from start to finish. Jonathan Marchessault led the Golden Knights with two goals and an assist en route to a 7-2 rout. Vegas showed its might on special teams as Florida’s power play was rendered useless as the Golden Knights clamped down when it counted.

With that, Vegas took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday night from Las Vegas. It will be broadcast on TNT/TBS in the United States and Sportsnet in Canada.

NHL betting sites have Florida as a very slight favourite for Game 3. Let’s see if there are some creative ways we can wager in Thursday night’s tilt.

Why You Should Bet on Vegas in Stanley Cup Final Game 3

The Vegas Golden Knights were primed for a run like this. Games 1 and 2 showed balance and discipline as the Golden Knights wore down the more undersized Panthers. Vegas beat Florida to every loose puck, made fewer mistakes, and made Florida pay for their transgressions.

This time, Vegas again had a dozen players with a point and five goal scorers. The Golden Knights chased Sergei Bobrovsky after scoring four goals on their first 13 shots. Vegas connected on the Over by themselves and quickly sped past the Puckline. The same result will continue unless Florida finds a way to slow down Vegas’ four lines.

Why You Should Bet on Florida in Stanley Cup Final Game 3

The Florida Panthers faced the Boston Bruins in the opening round and went down three games to one after dropping both games in Florida. They were down and out as Boston dominated. Worse, the Bruins were about to get back Patrice Bergeron, their captain. Florida recovered and won three straight games to start this journey.

Florida knows they have zero margin of error once again. The Panthers cannot let Vegas willingly get traffic in front of Sergei Bobrovsky. Furthermore, they must play more disciplined and funnel congestion into Adin Hill. Florida cannot make mistakes and must force Vegas into unforced errors.

Stanley Cup Final Game 3 Pick

Our best wager for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals sides with the Vegas Golden Knights. Taking the moneyline at around EVEN is reasonable. Florida should be able to use the home crowd to keep things closer, but Vegas has too much depth.

Florida can keep up with Vegas at times. Unfortunately, the problem with the Panthers is this feels all too similar to 1996. That series against Colorado would be a sweep for the Avalanche, but Games 3 and 4 were close.

Other Stanley Cup Finals Wagers To Consider

Betting on the Stanley Cup looks at different methods to gain some leverage in the NHL betting market. That sometimes can be more difficult than it looks.

Shot props are excellent and all but Jonathan Marchessault one more time at Over 0.5 points (1.71). One can consider the 3.35 for one or more power-play points. Matthew Tkachuk penalty props may be available. However, a Tkachuk anytime goal at 2.05 is reasonable.

Finally, series numbers have tilted to Vegas at 1.20 when they opened at 1.74. Florida has lengthened to 5.00 from 2.15. Vegas, in five or four games, rolls in at 3.40 and 4.00, respectively. When the 2.5-game spread is 1.87, books are warming up to the idea of a sweep for this Stanley Cup Final.

As always, we will have more picks on social media. Good luck!
