Super Bowl LIX Picks: Our Favourite Swiftie Specials

Super Bowl LIX Picks Swiftie Specials

Super Bowl LIX is upon us this Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs lock horns with the Philadelphia Eagles. But, like it or loathe it, the attention will naturally focus on a certain spectator at Caesars Superdome.

Yes, Taylor Swift will once again be in attendance, rooting for boyfriend Travis Kelce as his Chiefs’ team aim to create history by winning three Super Bowls in a row.

Betting sites have lent into the frenzy surrounding Taylor and her fans by creating a range of Swiftie Super Bowl specials.

Here are our Super Bowl LIX picks of the best Swiftie specials.

Super Bowl LIX Swiftie Picks: Fearless Chiefs

Although not the most valuable Super Bowl LIX bet, this Swiftie special catches our eye. Named after the album and 2021 hit song, NFL betting sites have been creative with this bet, simply pricing up the odds on the Chiefs converting on any fourth down.

The Chiefs only attempted 17 fourth down conversions during the regular season, but were the third most successful team, converting 11 of those 17 attempts; only the Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills had a better success rate.

The Chiefs have attempted seven fourth-down conversions in past Super Bowls, although they did not attempt one in their previous triumph over the Eagles. Something about this game suggests they may have to push the envelope against a talented offense.

We're picking Patrick Mahomes and company to convert at odds of -220.

Super Bowl Swiftie Pick 1: Fearless - Chiefs to have a successful 4th down conversion (Yes @ -220 Bet365)

Super Bowl LIX Swiftie Picks: 22 - Kelce To Be Active On Sunday

Kelce has not had his best season for the Chiefs, and at the age of 35, he could well be playing his last game. The tight end’s skills are declining, but he can still punish opponents if he has space in the middle of the field.

Kelce notched six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. He had a great start to that game before cooling off in the remaining three quarters.

Kelce is on course for his lowest production since 2018, when the Chiefs played only two matches in the post-season.

There were signs of encouragement against the Texans in the Divisional Round with 117 yards and one TD before he was held in check by the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.

The Swiftie Special is not asking a lot of Kelce, especially for a player of his caliber. Named after the hit Swift song from 2014, Bet365 have priced up Kelce to have 22 receiving yards or more in each half.

+105 is good enough for me to back Kelce to have one last great effort on the Super Bowl stage.

Super Bowl Swiftie Pick 2: 22: Travis Kelce to record 22 or more receiving yards in each half (+105 Bet365)

Super Bowl LIX Swiftie Picks: Everything Has Changed - Chiefs To Come From Behind

The Chiefs have been notorious slow-starters in the Super Bowl. In all three of their victories in the Mahomes-Reid era, Kansas City have trailed.

Their defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a write-off from the start, as they were prevented from mounting a comeback by the ferocious Bucs defense and Tom Brady’s precision. Against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, the Chiefs rallied from a 20-10 deficit to secure a 31-20 win.

Two years ago, their clash against the Eagles required another fourth-quarter comeback before closing out a 38-35 victory. The Chiefs seem to relish playing out these tight games, especially in the Super Bowl, and I don’t believe this one will be any different.

Whether it will be a winning cause remains to be seen, but after looking at betting apps, its +200 for the Chiefs to come from behind in the fourth quarter and hold the lead.
