Bally’s Planned A's Stadium Project In Las Vegas To Cost $1.19 Billion

Bally’s Corporation believes its planned $1.19billion Las Vegas development will fit well alongside the proposed Athletics Major League Baseball ballpark as part of a new Entertainment District.

It would mark Bally’s largest investment on the Strip and reflects growing confidence that large-scale developments anchored by professional sports venues can deliver long-term success.

The resort will connect to the Oakland A’s stadium through a shared gaming, hospitality and entertainment district at the former Tropicana site.

Bally’s plans to leverage its existing baseball fan base while attracting year-round visitors to support sustained tourism activity.

The project will feature a high-rise hotel, a large casino, multiple restaurants and bars, retail space and a dedicated entertainment venue.

A key design focus is pedestrian accessibility, allowing seamless movement between the stadium and the resort.

Bally’s has confirmed the development will be built in phases, with construction taking place before, during, and after the completion of the ballpark.

Sports-Led Development Strategy

Bally’s intends to execute the project over several years using a staged construction approach to reduce costs, minimize disruption and allow flexibility as the surrounding area evolves.

The multi-year development represents a long-term strategic investment, integrating a professional sports franchise directly into the Las Vegas Strip ecosystem.

By tying the resort to a major sports venue, Bally’s expects to generate consistent foot traffic beyond traditional peak tourism periods.

Regular-season games, special events, and playoff appearances are projected to bring millions of visitors to Las Vegas annually, benefiting nearby hotels, restaurants, and businesses.

The project also reflects Las Vegas’ broader transformation into a global sports and entertainment hub.

Las Vegas Defined By Huge Events

With the NFL, NHL, WNBA, Formula 1 and MLB either established or arriving soon, the city is increasingly defined by year-round events and diversified attractions rather than gaming alone.

Regulatory approvals and finalized funding arrangements remain the final steps before construction can begin.

Local officials have expressed strong support for the project, citing anticipated job creation and long-term economic benefits.

Thousands of construction jobs are expected during development, followed by permanent employment once the resort opens.

If completed as planned, Bally’s Las Vegas project could reshape the southern Strip corridor and set a new standard for integrated stadium-casino developments, positioning Bally’s at the center of Las Vegas’ continuing evolution as a global sports and entertainment destination.
