Flows Launches Free-To-Play NFL Crash Game TakeDown

Flows has launched TakeDown, an American football-themed crash game delivered through FlowsWave, its player-facing engagement layer.

The company said on September 17, 2026, that the free-to-play title is already live and can be triggered by player events or surfaced at various points in an operator's app, giving it a role in anti-churn, missions, login rewards, and broader gamification campaigns.

TakeDown is the first crash game Flows has launched through FlowsWave, and the company said more titles and formats will follow.

How The Game Works

Through FlowsWave, operators can fully customise TakeDown to their own brand, campaign and audience, while Flows manages the underlying technology and security.

Because the game is free-to-play, Flows said operators can use it across retention, missions, login bonuses and broader gamification activity rather than as a standalone real-money product.

Andrew Doublesin, chief product officer at Flows, said crash games have become a major part of the market and that TakeDown shows what the company can now bring to operators through FlowsWave.

"We can take a client idea, build around a game style players already know and get it live quickly, fully branded and connected to the wider player journey," Doublesin said.

"Because it's free-to-play, operators can use it across retention, missions, login bonuses and gamification while Flows handles the technology and security behind the experience," he added.

"Having seen great results through testing, we're excited to offer it to operators across the industry."

Built For The Player Journey

Flows positions TakeDown as an experience that sits inside an operator's existing player journey rather than a game players seek out on its own.

The company said the format is designed to be triggered by defined player events, such as reaching a milestone or logging in after a gap, and can then be presented in-game or elsewhere in the customer journey.

That structure gives Flows' clients a repeatable template: once a workflow can trigger an experience under set conditions, the same approach can support future campaigns and formats built on the same underlying engine.

TakeDown is live now and available for operators and media to try. Flows said it will also demonstrate the game at the SBC Summit in Lisbon, running from September 29 to October 1, 2026, in Hall 2, Stand B643, where the wider FlowsWave product will also be on show.
