Kansino Secures Five-Year Dutch Casino Licence Renewal
The Netherlands' gambling regulator, the Kansspelautoriteit, has granted Play North Limited a fresh five-year licence for its Kansino brand, letting the operator keep running online casino and betting games in the country until 2031.
The renewal is one of the first as the market's original permits begin to lapse.
The First KOA Permits Expire
The Dutch regulated online market opened in October 2021 with a first batch of licence holders, and those permits ran for five years.
That clock is now running out, so operators that want to stay must reapply and show they still meet the rules. Kansino is among the first names through that process, which makes it an early signal for the rest of the online casino market.
