QQPK Poker Bot Claims: 11,469 Accounts Named

An anonymous poker analyst says more than 70% of the hands they reviewed on online poker site QQPK were played by bots, according to Deadspin, which reported on the analysis on October 19, 2026. The site has not denied that bots were present and has banned accounts and promised compensation.

The analyst, who posts as MTT Database Review, pulled 24 million player-hands across 3.78 million hand histories from QQPK tournaments over three months. They concluded that roughly 17.5 million of those hands were played by bots and put the number of bot accounts at around 12,000.

They published a list of 11,469 account names so others can check the work. QQPK targets mostly Asian markets and runs on a gaming licence from Anjouan in the Comoros, Deadspin reported.

Deadspin reported that QQPK only appeared on the industry's tracking databases in April. The analyst's published conclusion was that roughly 17.5 million of the 24 million hands, more than 70 percent, were played by bots. A poker bot is software that takes a human's seat, never tires and can run dozens of tables at once, which is why a high share of automated play undermines the fairness of a tournament field.

How The Analysis Was Tested

To check the method, the analyst ran the same filters over a similarly sized database of PokerStars tournaments. They found no matches.

Loosening the criteria still returned none, and loosening them significantly further produced three players who looked like ordinary recreational players.

Hundreds of the flagged QQPK accounts follow identical naming templates, the analysis found. The analyst's figures are claims and have not been independently verified.

What QQPK Has Said

The analysis followed a separate community investigation on the Two Plus Two forum, which flagged 2,587 suspicious accounts after reviewing roughly 4.18 million hand histories from July 2 to October 2, 2026. Its authors said they were not claiming proof of operator involvement and wanted an independent security review.

QQPK announced it had permanently banned 724 accounts for unauthorized automated play and serious violations of its terms of service.

It has since published an investigation report that promises $300,000 in remediation, and said a fuller report reproducing the analysis against its own server records would follow on October 17, according to Deadspin.

Third-Party Tracking

The gap between the two sets of numbers is wide. QQPK banned 724 accounts, three days before the analyst's findings were published, and the operator holds every hand history on its own servers. The outside analyst, working from third-party tracking software, identified around 12,000 accounts.

Deadspin said the same kind of bulk analysis led a coach named Patrick Howard to review 32,780 hands last month and flag the player at the centre of a separate hole-card malware scandal.

The GGPoker ban covers tools such as PokerTracker, Hand2Note and Holdem Manager. GGPoker gave security as the reason, which Deadspin called understandable after that malware case, but the outlet said the practical effect is that few people other than the operators can now examine the data.

Why It Matters For Online Poker Players

Deadspin noted that the QQPK findings relied on third-party tracking software, and reported that GGPoker this week banned third-party software from running alongside its client, citing security.

The outlet argued that this makes outside checks on poker data harder. Players should confirm a site's licence and fair-play policies before depositing.
