Sands China Appoints Hera Siu As Independent Non-Executive Director

Sands China has appointed Hera Siu as an independent non-executive director, according to a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The board changes took effect on September 23, 2026.
Siu, 67, joins the board as Steven Zygmunt Strasser steps down as independent non-executive director, chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of the audit committee.
Strasser had served on the Sands China board since May 31, 2013 and is retiring to focus on other personal matters; the company said he will remain engaged as a consultant to the senior management team.
Who Is Hera Siu
Siu has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit committee, with no fixed term, though she is subject to retirement by rotation at Sands China's annual general meeting at least once every three years.
She will be paid an annual director's fee of approximately $270,000 for the board role, with no additional fee for her audit committee membership.
She currently serves as an independent non-executive director of ASMPT Limited, a non-executive director of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and an independent director of Vallourec S.A.
