SBC Names iGaming AFRIKA Official Partner Of Africa Gaming Forum

SBC has named iGaming AFRIKA, a B2B and B2C gambling media outlet focused on the African region, as the official event partner for the Africa Gaming Forum, which takes place during SBC Summit week in Lisbon.
What The Forum Covers
The invite-only Forum runs from 11:30 to 19:00 on Wednesday, 30 September at the Myriad Hotel, bringing together senior stakeholders, regulators and operators from across Africa's gaming ecosystem for a day of conference content and networking.
SBC says the event is designed to position the continent's most important markets within one of the industry's largest global gatherings, and that the Forum will run alongside SBC Summit 2026, SBC's flagship global event.
As event partner, iGaming AFRIKA will contribute its regional knowledge and industry network to help the Forum engage regulators, operators and investors across the continent's fragmented regulatory landscape.
Founded in 2022, iGaming AFRIKA covers the African gaming industry through news, interviews and podcasts.
What They Say
SBC founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark said the partnership reflects a deeper commitment to giving Africa “a permanent, structured place” within the SBC Summit ecosystem.
“No two of Africa's gaming markets are moving in the same direction,” he said. “Regulation, maturity, opportunity – it all looks different market by market, which is exactly why we needed a partner who understands those nuances. iGaming AFRIKA was the natural choice.”
Jeremiah Maangi, founder and CEO of iGaming AFRIKA, said the partnership was proof of a shared ambition to give African gaming a platform.
“Bringing the African Gaming Forum into SBC Summit week means African stakeholders get direct access to the world's biggest gaming conversations, and the world gets a clearer view of one of the industry's most important growth stories,” he said.
SBC Summit's Scale
SBC Summit is one of the gambling industry's largest annual conference series, typically drawing thousands of online casino operators, suppliers and regulators to its flagship events.
Folding a dedicated Africa-focused Forum into that week is intended to give African market stakeholders access to the same global audience without needing a standalone trip.
The Forum's positioning during SBC Summit week follows a broader industry trend of major conference organisers adding region-specific tracks to their flagship events, as operators and suppliers seek structured ways to evaluate opportunities in markets with widely varying licensing regimes and consumer maturity levels within a single continent.
Delegate Access
Because the Forum sits inside SBC Summit week rather than running as a standalone event, attendees are expected to move between African-focused sessions at the Myriad Hotel and the main SBC Summit conference floor on the same trip, cutting the cost and time commitment for African operators and regulators who want exposure to the wider global industry.
SBC has run region-specific forums alongside its main Summit events in the past, and folding Africa into the September Lisbon week follows that established pattern of using the flagship conference as a hub for smaller, invite-only regional gatherings.
