Wazdan Strengthens Denmark Presence Through Danske Spil Deal

Wazdan has strengthened its presence in Denmark through a new content distribution partnership with Danske Spil Casino, the supplier confirmed.

The deal brings titles from Wazdan's Coins, Mighty Wild and Hot Slot series to Danske Spil Casino's platform, making the supplier's catalogue available to one of Denmark's largest licensed online casinos.

A Tier-One Operator Addition

Danske Spil operates as Denmark's state-backed gambling operator, giving suppliers that secure distribution deals with it access to a large share of the country's regulated player base.

Magdalena Wojdyla, Wazdan's head of account management for Europe, said partnering with Danske Spil Casino is an important step in strengthening the supplier's presence in the market.

The Danske Spil deal adds to Wazdan's existing distribution agreements across regulated European markets, where the supplier has focused on signing directly with established local operators rather than relying solely on aggregator platforms to reach licensed players.

A Maltese Studio With A Growing Regulated Footprint

Wazdan is a Malta-based developer founded in 2010 and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The company marked 15 years in the industry in February 2026, saying it had grown to more than 250 employees and over 2,500 business partners worldwide, with a portfolio spanning more than 300 certified games.

Its content is live across more than 30 regulated markets, including Malta, the UK, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Ontario, Quebec, Sweden, Romania, Greece and Denmark.

Signing Directly With State-Linked Operators

Securing distribution with Danske Spil, Denmark's state-backed gambling operator, gives Wazdan a route into one of the country's largest licensed player bases without relying on a third-party aggregator to carry its catalogue.

The approach mirrors deals the supplier has pursued elsewhere in regulated Europe, where direct operator relationships typically give a studio faster, more predictable access to a market than integration through a platform aggregator alone.

Wazdan's compliance footprint already spans more than 40 regulated markets worldwide, including the UK, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Ontario, Quebec, Sweden, Romania, Greece and the Philippines, giving it the regulatory groundwork to keep adding direct operator partnerships in markets where it already holds the necessary certifications.
