Zomblers Disband After Year Of Roster Instability

North American Counter-Strike 2 team Zomblers' roster will not continue together, with in-game leader Andrew "CAJUN" Guidroz confirming in a post on X on October 16, 2026 that the team's chapter has been officially closed after 28 months.
The split follows a year in which the squad struggled to settle its lineup.
Seven players filled the fourth and fifth slots during 2026, according to coverage by Dust2.us, and the team's three core players had been openly looking for new opportunities since early September.
CAJUN's Explanation
CAJUN wrote that the roster went from advanced playoffs to qualifying for the ESL Challenger League without a Valve Regional Standings ranking, describing it as a great learning experience.
He said that despite lineup changes and a lack of recent practice, the team kept a consistently high level of finishes, but that a lack of passion was evident towards the end.
He took responsibility for his own shortcomings as a leader and a player, naming ownership, discipline, and integrity as the areas in which the roster fell short.
He said there was no toxicity on the team, but he wished he had brought more energy and enthusiasm each day.
On the fourth- and fifth-player problems, he conceded that some pickups were rushed and arguably questionable, and that the rotated players ran into the same atmospheric issues.
He also said he devoted about 99% of his available time to collective teamwork at the expense of his own in-game development, and credited coach Gabe with teaching him that leadership starts with leading yourself.
What The Team Achieved
Dust2.us reported that the core of CAJUN, AWPer Nikolaos "Pose1doNN" Antoniou and rifler Connor "CoolComs" Barnes came together in late 2024 under the Tsunami banner.
Most of their results came under the Zomblers name, including two CROSSFIRE finals, one of which they won, and a third-place finish at the most recent ECL Cup.
All three core players have shown interest in continuing to compete professionally.
What It Means For The Scene
The disbanding adds to the churn among North American teams outside the top tier, where players must find new lineups ahead of the next competitive cycle.
