Punterz is a new name on the sports betting NZ scene, having been launched relatively recently in 2024. 

It is owned by DMG Solutions B.V. Casinos, who run a number of sports betting and casino companies, which include the likes of ProntoBet, HeyCasino and TrivelaBet. 

So this is a new bookie that comes with some pedigree and it is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission in Canada, making it a fresh brand that you can trust.

I am going to be putting Punterz to the test to see what they have to offer bettors in New Zealand, exploring their range of promotions and features.

Punterz Sign up Offer 

If you visit Punterz's sportsbook directly or via a search engine, you will do well to find the sportsbook-specific sign up offer. However, there is one available, and by clicking one of the links in this review, you can claim 100% welcome bonus up to $400.

Bettors can qualify for this offer by depositing as little as $40. Once they've made their initial deposit, they must play through their qualifying deposit six times, either by wagering on singles with odds of 2.0 or greater, or multiple where each selection is 1.5 or more.

Once the qualifying wagering requirements have been met, you must email Punterz to claim your welcome bonus.

It's a sizeable welcome offer, particularly if you go for the maximum $400, but the requirements to wager your qualifying deposit before getting the free bets bonus will put some folk off.

There is a live sports section at Punterz that features all of the current in-play events. 

When I conducted my review on a midweek afternoon, I found 13 different sports covered, ranging from very popular ones like soccer and tennis to more niche examples such as badminton, beach volleyball and squash. 

Should you wish you can filter the available live sports and events to bet on, to only show the ones for which there is live streaming available. 

For events without streaming, there are live scores and a graphical representation of how the contest is progressing. 

You can also toggle through various statistics and read a live text commentary. 

I found that the live odds were competitive, with a good range of markets and that it was quick and easy to place an in-play bet. 

Same-Game Multi 

Same-game multis are available at Punterz under the banner of bet builder. 

It is a feature available for team sports such as soccer, American football, basketball, baseball and ice hockey. 

I took a look at the bet builder for some Premier League soccer games and was impressed with the range of markets available. 

Whether you want to just place a small double or treble to create a little extra value, or are crafting a same-game multi that is more ambitious, Punterz will have you covered. 

Just click on your chosen selections and they will be added to your bet slip, with the odds of your bet builder instantly updating as you make your picks.

Punterz Mobile Betting Review 

You won't currently find a dedicated Punterz mobile app in the betting apps section of either the App Store or Google Play.

That is not an unusual situation for new betting sites these days, particularly ones like Punterz that are fresh on the scene and still developing their range of features. 

Thankfully the mobile version of the site translates well to the smaller screen, with menus that are on show when viewing on a laptop, now hidden away while still being easy to access. 

Features such as in-play betting, same-game multis, cash out and live streaming were simple to use on mobile. 

I found betting at Punterz to be a breeze via a mobile browser, so the lack of a dedicated app is unlikely to be a big issue for you.
