£5 wins £10,000!

The lucky bettor needed Germany's Toni Kroos and Mat Hummels to be booked, and the Netherland's Georginio Wijnaldum to get a card, as well as Virgil van Dijk to score, all in 90 minutes of international Football.

In the 14th minute Hummels went into the referee's book, Wijnaldum joining him 10 minutes later. Our punter was probably shaking his head when Kroos's received a yellow card shortly after half-time, but with 10 minutes left the Netherlands had yet to score.

The Netherlands trailed Germany 2-0 at this stage, and needed at least a point to qualify for the Nations League Finals next summer. When midfielder Quincy Promes scored in the 85th minute, the mood suddenly changed and van Dijk was moved forward in a last-gasp attempt.

The Liverpool defender justified his reassignment powering in a sensational volley from Tonny Vilhena's masterful cross, to equalise for the Netherlands in the final minute of the game. That goal turned our lucky punter's £5 bet into £10,000 worth of winnings.

What Were The Odds?

It is officially more likely that British boxer Tony Bellew will be the next James Bond, than it is that this mad bookings accumulator could come true, bookmakers offering a mere 1000/1 on Bellew's 007 bow.

Racehorse trainer Willie Mullins is only 500/1 to be the Republic of Ireland's next manager after Martin O'Neill's resignation this week, and Fulham are 1000/1 to win the 2019/20 Premier League with Paddy Power.

The only bet we can find that has the same odds as our lucky punter's crazy accumulator is injured Marcos Rojo to score a hat-trick for Manchester United this weekend. That's 2000/1 with William Hill, who actually make it 5000/1 that Crystal Palace beat Man Utd 5-1, with Alexis Sanchez scoring first.
