14:25 Ascot: The Panel Selection - Tactician
A Panel selection, Tactician was heavily backed into 11/8 from 11/2 on his handicap debut over 14f at Ascot.
He was caught out wide that day and looked slightly unlucky, coming from an unpromising position in the straight with a tortuous run through beaten horses to lose by a neck.
Though beaten it was just his fourth run and he looks a decent stayer in the making and one to keep on side.
He steps up to two miles today but it’s unlikely to be a problem and he can make amends for the last day under Oisin Murphy for Andrew Balding.
16:20 Thirsk: The Panel Selection - Emeralds Pride
Emeralds Pride was a Panel selection when unplaced at Beverley last time out. Nothing much went right that day as she started slowly, proved difficult to settle and struggled to find gaps when required in the final furlongs.
She steps up to 6f after running at 5f all season, but she’s a course and distance winner and the extra furlong could be just the key to unlock another victory.
Up just 3lb since her last win it’s unlikely this mark’s beyond her and she’s worth another chance under regular rider Connor Beasley for trainer Michael Dods.

19:35 Sandown: The Panel Selection - Whathappensinvegas
Whathappensinvegas spent last winter in the Middle East and returned to the Ian Williams yard in April.
He soon settled back and sprung a surprise when winning a good quality 10f handicap at Newmarket in May at odds of 25/1.
He was second over 9f next time out before winning at Hamilton over 11f and coming third over 12f last time out.
The last three races were all Class 3 and he drops down in class here over what is probably his best trip. He’s likely to be suited by this course and looks to have a very good chance under jockey David Egan.
