Playtech, Hippodrome Casino Launch Live-Dealer Studio

Playtech has partnered with The Hippodrome Casino to launch ‘Live from London’, a live-dealer studio broadcasting roulette, blackjack and baccarat from inside the historic West End venue to players across multiple regulated live casino markets. The companies announced the tie-up on September 15, 2026.
The studio streams four table formats from the Hippodrome floor: Dual Roulette, Studio Core Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat. Playtech and the Hippodrome said the portfolio is expected to expand with further tables as the partnership develops.
The Hippodrome, on Cranbourn Street near Leicester Square, has operated as a casino and entertainment venue for more than a century and is one of the best-known gaming addresses in the UK.
Executives Point To Multi-Market Rollout
Marat Koss, Playtech’s Chief Interactive Gaming Officer, said partnering with "iconic gaming destinations" remains central to the group’s live casino strategy. "Live from London merges the authenticity of a premium land-based casino and our technology to provide an engaging experience across multiple regulated markets," Koss said, adding that both companies share "an unwavering commitment to delivering innovative entertainment in a responsible way."
George Constantinou, the Hippodrome’s Director of Online Gaming, said the deal lets the venue "extend that experience beyond our venue and introduce our unique atmosphere to audiences around the world through high-quality live casino content."

Part Of A Wider Trend In Venue-Based Live Studios
Live-dealer studios built inside real casino venues, rather than purpose-built broadcast sets, have become a growing niche for suppliers looking to differentiate their live casino catalogues. Playtech runs live studios in several countries as part of its wider live casino product line, which spans roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game-show formats.
Neither company disclosed financial terms of the agreement or a specific launch date for when the tables go live with operators.
Extending A Physical Casino Brand Online
The Hippodrome has leaned on its physical footprint to build a media and hospitality business around gaming, including live entertainment and dining alongside its casino floor, and has previously marked milestones such as passing 20 million guests since reopening after the pandemic. Streaming live tables from the same floor gives the brand a route to reach players in markets where it has no physical presence.
For Playtech, the deal extends a live casino strategy built on studios hosted inside recognisable venues rather than generic broadcast sets, a format the supplier has used with other partners to differentiate its live catalogue from rivals offering similar roulette and card game formats. The company did not name which operators or markets will carry the Hippodrome tables first, or set a date for when Live from London goes live with operators.
Playtech said further tables and formats will be added to the Live from London portfolio as the partnership progresses, with both companies pointing to responsible gambling standards as a condition of the wider rollout.
