Pragmatic Play Launches Free Bet Blackjack With Free Double Down & Split Bets

Pragmatic Play, which create some of the best online casino games around, has expanded its live blackjack game portfolio with the launch of the new Free Bet Blackjack game.

The title lets players split bets and double down without changing the original bet. Both bets usually cost the same as the original stake.

Free Bet Blackjack also includes Push on 22, common among Pragmatic Play’s live blackjack games, and incorporates a selection of side bets to increase betting opportunities.

Live casino games have become increasingly popular. They enhance social interaction, provide a sense of authenticity that random number generators cannot replicate and feel fair.

This enhanced gameplay is common across Pragmatic Play’s live casino games, in particular its burgeoning collection of blackjack titles.

Blackjack X and Bet Behind Pro let players bet on other players' hands. Speed Blackjack speeds up the game with faster draws and also offers optimised automatic decisions.

Free Bet Blackjack Free Bets

Free Bet Blackjack takes two dynamic elements of blackjack – double down and split bets – and makes them more appealing by making them free.

Pragmatic Play’s Chief Operating Officer, Irina Cornides, said: “Free Bet Blackjack enhances the classic table game with the introduction of Double Down and Split options at no additional cost to players, giving them more strategic freedom and ways to win.”

Double down lets you double your bet and take one more card, after being dealt your hand of two cards. In Free Bet Blackjack, you don’t have to pay the additional wager.

While it does increase betting options, hitting, rather than doubling down, gives the opportunity for further hits without reducing odds.

Splitting is available on all pairs except 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings. Play continues, as normal, with both hands.

In certain circumstances, players are also allowed to Double Down After Split, for free.

Other Features

Free Bet Blackjack is one of a growing number of Pragmatic Play blackjack games to offer Push On 22.

Push on 22 means any remaining player bets result in a push if the dealer busts on exactly 22. This can prevent losses, but it also means that any wins, other than blackjacks, are pushed rather than settled.

The game is available at many licensed UK poker sites and online casinos, giving players a regulated and secure environment in which to enjoy this popular blackjack variation.

Side bets are available in the new Pragmatic Play casino game. This includes the 21+3 side bet, which turns a hand into a combination of blackjack and poker.

The player’s hole cards and the dealer’s up card are used to make a three-card poker hand. Wins are paid on a flush or better, which includes suited three of a kind, three of a kind, straight, straight flush and flush hands.

Other side bets include Perfect Pairs, which pays out if both hole cards have a matching number and matching suit. Players can play up to seven seats per hand.
