Pragmatic Play Studio Launches Bingo Mania Online Slot Game
iGaming studio Pragmatic Play has combined two of the most popular forms of gambling in the UK – bingo and slots – into a single game.
Bingo Mania, which is out now and available at participating Pragmatic Play online casinos, is a 5x3 reel slot with 30 paylines.
The 96.51% Return to Player (RTP) is generous by typical standards, and the 10,000x jackpot is respectable, although the high level of volatility is likely to put many casual players off.
Bingo And Slots
Bingo is popular in countries around the world, but with three million people regularly playing at bingo halls and online bingo sites, the UK remains in love with the game.
However, while bingo is still close to the hearts of Brits, physical and online slots are just as popular.
Pragmatic Play has sought to tap into both of these markets with its latest title, Bingo Mania.
The game is heavily themed around bingo, featuring a prominent bingo machine in the bottom corner and symbols depicting bingo balls, cash and other related items.
While the majority of the game plays like other slot machines, Bingo Mania also includes a bonus feature, Bingo Bonus, which borrows from the number-matching element of bingo.
In the base game, players are rewarded for matching rows of symbols. Prizes range from 1x the original bet to 25x the stake.
Wild symbols can also appear on the reels, increasing the likelihood of landing prizes. Where the game really comes into its own, however, is in the Bingo Bonus feature.
When a player lands three scatter symbols anywhere on the board, they receive six free spins and a starting 2x multiplier.
Mystery symbols are also added. These transform into either wilds or bingo symbols and if the player lands six or more bingo symbols, they are taken to the Bingo Bonus round.
The Bingo Bonus Game
When the Bingo Bonus game begins, all bingo symbols are replaced by coins worth between 0.25x and 1,000x the stake, and the grid expands to a 5x5 square.
All coin values are then added together and the total is placed in the centre square of the grid.
Players receive three respins, during which the aim is to land additional coins and super coins.
Regular coins add to the existing total, while super coins can include Mini, Minor, Major and Mega jackpot symbols, as well as 2x or 3x multipliers.

Coins and super coins remain in place once they land and hitting at least one of either type resets the respin counter to three.
Landing a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line adds the value of the coins in that line to the centre square.
If the player is lucky enough to complete 10 lines during a single run of the Bingo Bonus, they win the 10,000x Grand Prize.
Otherwise, when the respins end, the player receives the total value displayed on the on-screen coins.
Bingo Mania is a slot machine first and foremost, but it does hold appeal for bingo lovers, who will enjoy the in-game assets and the bonus feature.
However, the gameplay itself is not closely linked to bingo.
