Penrith vs Brisbane Betting Tips:

Minor Premiership winners Penrith face off against second-placed Brisbane in the NRL Grand Final on Sunday evening.

The best two sides in the competition this year have both earned their right to compete for the chance to be crowned the NRL Premiership winners for 2023.

Ivan Cleary’s side topped the ladder on points difference ahead of the Broncos, with both sides posting 18 wins from their 24 fixtures.

The sides are tied at one apiece when it comes to head-to-head results in this year's campaign, with the most recent affair ending 15-4 in favour of the Panthers.

Rugby League betting sites have loaded up their markets ahead of the highly anticipated matchup and we have picked out three selections for you to consider ahead of the final.

Panthers Ready To Maul The Broncos

Ivan Cleary takes his side to the final in Sydney on the back of 11 wins from their last 12 matches.

In addition to their current run, Penrith are hoping to clinch their third straight Premiership title, which would be the first time a side has achieved this feat since Parramatta’s memorable 1983 triumph.

The Panthers were totally dominant in their demolition of Melbourne just last week, with the 38-4 final scoreline hardly doing Cleary’s side justice.

A relentless start to proceedings set the tone of the match in what was a ruthless display, and coach Cleary will hope son Nathan will replicate his immense efforts in the final.

The Panthers are littered with quality, with three members of their squad (Brian To’o. Stephen Crichton and Liam Martin) named in the Players Dream Team just a week ago.

But it’s half-back Nathan Cleary – who scored 11 of the 15 points in their 15-4 win against Brisbane in May - and lock Isaac Yeo who are expected to do the devastation against the Broncos.

With one of the best squads in NRL history being the hands of Ivan Cleary, we cannot see past the Panthers making history with a third successive Premiership.

Simply To'o Good

Brian To'o

As mentioned, Brian To’o has had a remarkable season and is well-deserved of his place among the 2023 Dream Team.

The Samoan managed to bag a second career hat-trick in the NRL in their win over the Storm, which explains him being the favourite with betting sites to crash over the whitewash.

Although in great from, he will have the tough task of getting the better of Selwyn Cobbo, who has planted down 20 times in his 23 appearances for Kevin Walters' side.

However, with last year's Clive Churchill Medal winner Dylan Edwards chiming around the back of Cleary and Jarome Luai, we expect the 2021 Dally M Winger of the Year to have no trouble getting over the line on at least one occasion on Sunday.

The price of 2.10 with Bet365 is too good to refuse for a man who has bagged 21 tries in his 22 appearances, and we are backing the lethal finisher to touchdown yet again.

Tip: Brian To'o to score a try anytime - 2.10 with Bet365

Cleary Of The Rest

It is no surprise that Nathan Cleary is the big favourite for the Clive Churchill award, having been there and won it once before.

The half-back has been instrumental to Penrith’s success over the past few years and we expect the Australian to be amongst the thick of it again when coming up against Adam Reynolds this weekend.

The pair are two of only four players to have kicked two-point drop goals this season and have scored an identical 204 points each heading into this one.

We are siding with Penrith's number seven for this one though, as it's likely that a member on the winning side will be the recipient of the Clive Churchill Medal, and having won the award in 2021, Cleary will not shy away from the big occasion.

With Luai playing a subsidiary role to the co-captain, it could be a matter of Cleary’s conversions or even drop goals that are needed to seal the win in a memorable season.
