Alberta & Ontario Gain Pragmatic Play Slots via St8 Platform

St8 has widened its content deal with Pragmatic Play to cover Ontario and Alberta, giving operators in both regulated Canadian provinces access to the supplier's catalogue through a single integration.

The aggregation platform announced the expanded partnership on August 4, 2026.

How the Aggregation Deal Works

The tie-up runs through St8's aggregation platform, which lets an operator plug in once and draw on many studios rather than integrating each supplier separately.

St8 said operators connected to it can now reach Pragmatic Play's content across both provinces via one application programming interface, part of a wider catalogue the platform puts at more than 200 game providers.

Pragmatic Play brings a slots library of more than 600 in-house games, including widely played titles such as Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus, alongside live casino, crash games and other content.

Adding that range to Ontario and Alberta lobbies gives operators there a deeper shelf of recognisable games to compete on in the country's online casino market.

The Alberta Timing

The timing follows Alberta's market opening. The province became the second in Canada, after Ontario, to run a licensed, open iGaming model, and suppliers have moved quickly to get certified content in front of operators.

Pragmatic Play entered Alberta as the market launched, and the St8 deal extends its distribution reach in the province through a third-party platform.

What St8 and Pragmatic Play Said

David Fall, Business Development Manager at St8, said the company was "delighted to expand our partnership with Pragmatic Play into both Ontario and Alberta, making one of the industry's strongest content portfolios available to even more operators through our aggregation platform". He said combining Pragmatic Play's games with a single integration makes it easier for operators to manage content as they scale.

Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, said the supplier was "pleased to extend our partnership with St8 into Ontario and Alberta as we continue to grow our presence across regulated markets", describing St8 as a distribution partner with the regulatory and operational support to move content to operators quickly.

The Commercial Logic

The commercial logic is straightforward. Aggregation deals matter most in young markets, where operators want to fill a lobby fast without building a stack of separate integrations, and where suppliers want their games live across as many sites as possible before rivals lock in shelf space. Alberta is exactly that kind of market right now.

What to Watch Next

The next read is uptake across Alberta operators. With several suppliers and platforms racing into the province, the test is how many operators route Pragmatic Play content through St8 rather than a direct integration, and how quickly the two build on the deal as the market matures.
