Canadian Poker Players Flock To Enter ¥100M GTD WPT Asia Series

For poker players, it doesn’t get much more exciting than the ¥100M GTD WPT Asia Series

WPT Global has once again come up trumps with an exciting event which is the first ever WPT one of its type in Asia.

We highly recommend WPT as the place to play some of the best online poker sites and there are over 100 tournaments that can be entered between now and March 15, with customers flocking to win a share of the prize money.

We’re a big fan of the fact that WPT Global has put up ¥100M in guaranteed prize money.

That’s equivalent to $15million and the good news is that the money is spread around to lots of different players.

With so many tournaments, it means that there’s a chance to get your hands on a cash prize and we’re excited to enter and see if we can make it through to some big- money tables.

How Do Canadian Players Enter WPT Asia Series?

In order to enter any of the brilliant World Poker Tour events, you first need to register as a new customer.

This only takes a few minutes and Canadian players can enjoy a generous welcome bonus when they make a first deposit.

As a registered customer, you are then in a prime position to enter the 100+ tournaments that make up the WPT Asia Series. There are daily tournaments taking place and you can enter some of these from as little as $5.

Right now, there’s Million Boost Week taking place until February 17, with seven daily tournaments open for players to enter and compete against customers from around the world.

Each table will have a truly global feel as players aim to qualify for the next table and take a step closer to landing a cash prize.

The biggest events are the nine WPT Ring events. As the name suggests, the chance to land a prestigious WPT Ring and corresponding prize money is hugely attractive to poker players.

You are able to head to the WPT Global poker lobby which outlines the pathway that needs to be taken in order to get close to the gold.

The top-tier tournaments take the form of the Sunday Main Event Finals, which both high rollers and low-stakes players can progress towards.

There are lots of satellites and qualifiers which enable you to compete for a place at the next table and hopefully we will see a Canadian player or two with a WPT ring on their finger by the end of the action.

There is a guaranteed prize pool of $143,000 available on a daily basis, so we recommend logging in each day and looking for ways to compete for a share of the funds.

They will be handed out to hundreds, if not thousands, of customers during the WPT Asia Series.

Expect lots of different table types and also variations on poker. There will be plenty of No Limit Hold ‘Em tables but also the chance to enjoy PLO, Short Deck, Mystery Bounty and many other versions.

It’s the latest of many WPT events that take place throughout the year. Sometimes there’s the chance to win a package to actually attend a real-life WPT event.

There is also a Player of the Series leaderboard for this event. What we really like about this is that there’s plenty of money paid out to the customers in the lower places.

There’s also $143,000 available to the winner and 2,500 places paid out in total and Early Bird bonus points are up for grabs along with points for finishing positions.
