Playtech announced this week the launch of its multi-channel technology with NorthStar Bets in Ontario. The Ontario-based brand, NorthStar Bets, provides players with a unique local experience diversified for the local user.

Through their premier user experience on their sportsbook, online casino and iGaming platforms, NorthStar Bets operates under NorthStar Gaming and the addition of this technology is set to further establish it as one of the leaders in the Canadian iGaming market.

The deal was initially announced earlier this year as a strategic partnership following the launch of online sports betting in Ontario on April 4.

What Does This Means for Playtech and NorthStar Bets?

This strategic partnership is set to build on Playtech’s track record of developing games for newly regulated online markets over the past few years, following launches across several states. The agreement between the two will now mean that Playtech will become NorthStar Gaming’s strategic software and services supplier that sees them deliver their IMS platform, casino and live casino services to users in Ontario with NorthStar Bets.

NorthStar Bets is uniquely positioned to become one of Ontario’s premier operators, and we’re delighted to be working alongside them to build a market-leading responsible gambling proposition.”

NorthStar Gaming signed a partnership with Gambi Group plc. earlier this year in order to deliver a high-quality betting experience across their online sportsbook. 

This move with Playtech now gives NorthStar Bets users the highest level of player protection and is further enhancing NorthStar Gaming’s position as a potential leader in the Canadian iGaming market with such a diverse portfolio of online betting and iGaming options.
