The first week of the Premier League season is over, and we now enter Week 2 with extremely high chances of goals.

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea take the headlines with a London derby this Sunday, but with Manchester United and Liverpool needing to bounce back, we’re set for another thrilling weekend of action.

Here’s our Premier League betting advice for this week.

Game of the Week

Tottenham Hotspur 3.2 at Chelsea 2.25

London derbies barely ever disappoint, and this season is set to be arguably the best campaign of soccer in London we’ve ever seen. There is seemingly nothing separating Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal in the race for the top four, and we get an early taste of how things could go down this weekend.

What makes this game more interesting is the Spurs' performance last week in contrast to Chelsea’s, but also how Tottenham hasn't beaten Chelsea since late 2020. It's a six-game winless run for the Spurs against the Blues, but worse, it hasn't even scored a single goal in those five defeats and one draw.

Antonio Conte is also heading back to his old club, where he won the Premier League title five years ago with a stunning 93-point tally. Moreover, 2018 was the last time the Spurs won at Stamford Bridge, as two goals from Dele Alli and one from Christian Eriksen won the game that April.

Things are very different now, and this game is going to be a thrilling encounter for sure. We think a high-scoring draw is in order.

Best Bet of the Week

Fulham 3.1 at Wolves 2.35

With Fulham coming off its incredible 2-2 draw with Liverpool and Wolves heading into this one following a loss to Leeds United, it’s clear to see why the odds are the way they are. However, we see nothing but a Wolves win here.

Of course, with Aleksandar Mitrović at Fulham’s disposal, it will always have a chance at winning the game. On the other hand, with its home record at times looking very healthy and with only 43 goals conceded last season, Wolves should get its first win of the season here as it’s going to be hard for the Cottagers to break them down.

Team of the Week

Tottenham Hotspur

Heading into the new season, much of the talk was about how good Tottenham would be. After the first game, it’s fair to assume it will comfortably get into the top four once again.

The Spurs were easily the best team of Week 1, as they were relentless from the first whistle until the end. Conte specified in the preseason how much overall fitness was the aim for his club, and this was on full display with his men having eight shots on target from 18 efforts and seeing 58% of ball possession.

Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier, and Dejan Kulusevski were the goalscorers for the Lilywhites in that game, but it was their Swedish star that stole the show once again. Kulusevski beautifully assisted the opening goal for Spurs, before he scored a clever goal himself in the second half.

Harry Kane also looked in top form as he dropped deeper into midfield at times, and if this game is anything to go by, Spurs may be the team to watch this season.

Player to Watch This Week

Aleksandar Mitrović, Fulham

What an opening weekend for Fulham. Two seasons from barely winning a game in the Premier League during its relegation campaign, almost nobody backed it to get a positive result against last year’s runners-up, Liverpool.

However, the newly-promoted team was excellent from start to finish. Fulham never let Liverpool get going and restricted the recent Champions League finalists to just four shots on target. Better yet, the Cottagers themselves looked fantastic on the attacking front, and the likes of Virgil van Dijk were troubled greatly by the irreplaceable Mitrović.

The Serbian’s record-breaking campaign from last season saw him score 43 goals in 43 league appearances, and no man in the history of England’s second tier has come close to that feat. He faced questions coming back into the Premier League after underwhelming efforts, but after getting the better of the world’s best defender through two goals, van Dijk, he is our pick for the best player of last week.

Hardest Game to Call

Man United 2.00 at Brentford 3.80

For one of the first times in Premier League history, Manchester United heads into its second game of the season with many predicting it will lose once again. This comes off it losing to Brighton & Hove Albion on the season's opening day in a terrible performance on Erik ten Hag’s domestic debut for the club.

Pascal Groß scored twice in the first 10 minutes, and an own goal by Brighton resulted in a 2-1 loss for the Red Devils. However, it was their overall performance that was more concerning. Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Fred all looked equally as poor as they did last season, and it gives fans little hope of things changing this campaign.

Brentford came from two goals down against Leicester City in its game to tie 2-2, as impressive goals from Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva gave it a point away from home. However, the past two games against United have ended in defeat for the Bees, while they also conceded three goals in both those matches.

Regardless, things are very different right now and there is very little hope coming out of United heading into this game.

A tie in this game is 3.40 with Caesars.
