theScore Bet Starts Early Registration in Ontario as Sports Betting Launch Approaches

With the Ontario sports betting and iGaming launch going live on April 4, theScore is opening early registration to new users.

The company announced today that its mobile sportsbook and casino app, theScore Bet, is now available for download and accepting early registration for players who wish to use their platform in Ontario.

The early registration process will allow users to download and complete the necessary steps to create an account, ensuring they can place bets right away on April 4 when sports betting and Ontario online casinos go live.

“Millions of Ontarians already know and love theScore, and we are excited to introduce them to theScore Bet as part of our pre-registration roll out,” John Levy, CEO of theScore, said in a media release. “We are ready and eager for the legal market to open on April 4 and look forward to showcasing our fully integrated media and betting experience."

theScore Bet app is available for download on the App Store for iOS devices. To celebrate the launch of Ontario’s regulated market, theScore Bet is hosting a “Home Opener” launch party for fans 19-years and older in Toronto from April 2-4.

theScore Bet is one of the apps that will immediately begin accepting wagers on April 4 when Ontario’s new regulated sports betting and iGaming market launches for private operators. theScore Bet app is available for download anywhere in Canada, but players must be located in Ontario to place a bet.

theScore Bet gained access to Ontario through approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) as an internet gaming operator and will operate in the province on behalf of iGaming Ontario.

Approved Operators

theScore is one of the operators who have been granted approval from the AGCO. PointsBet, Rush Street Interactive, Bet365, 888 Holdings and Rivalry also received operator licenses from the AGCO to launch their sports betting and online casino games on April 4.

Kambi was authorized to provide its sportsbook technology services to operators who decided to use its platforms.
