1xBet Extends Exclusive PGL Esports Betting Deal Through 2029

1xBet Extends Exclusive PGL Esports Betting Deal Through 2029

1xBet has extended its exclusive betting partnership with esports tournament organiser PGL through the end of 2029, keeping the operator as PGL's sole betting partner across its esports betting events.

The renewed agreement replaces a deal signed in February 2025 that was due to expire at the end of 2026, giving 1xBet three additional years as PGL's exclusive bookmaker for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 tournaments, including Tier-1 events.

PGL, which runs some of the biggest fixtures on the competitive Counter-Strike and Dota 2 calendars, first partnered with 1xBet in early 2025, a relationship that has grown from broadcasting rights into a full commercial partnership covering betting integration around its events.

A Long-Term Bet On Esports Growth

The multi-year extension signals continued confidence from both sides in esports betting as a growth category, with PGL retaining a single well-capitalised betting partner across its tournament calendar rather than rotating sponsors event-by-event.

For 1xBet, the deal secures a prominent position in front of Counter-Strike and Dota 2 audiences through the end of the decade, at a time when several major bookmakers are competing for exclusive tie-ups with top esports organisers.

Betting And Esports Keep Converging

The extension comes as several major betting sites compete for exclusive tie-ups with leading esports organisers, treating tournament-level betting partnerships the way traditional sportsbooks treat top-flight football or basketball league deals.

PGL's Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 events consistently draw large global viewership, giving whichever operator holds the exclusive betting rights sustained visibility across a young, digitally-native audience through the rest of the decade.
