AG.AL Win Esports World Cup Club Championship
AG.AL has been crowned Esports World Cup 2026 Club Champion, denying Team Falcons a third consecutive title after a seven week competition in Paris, France.
AG.AL finished on 5,300 Club Championship points to claim the $7 million top prize, the Esports Foundation confirmed in a press release on August 23, 2026.
Team Falcons led the overall standings heading into the final weekend, needing a strong showing in the inaugural Trackmania tournament to seal a third straight Club Championship. That plan unravelled when Falcons player Carl-Antoni “Carl Jr.” Cloutier was eliminated in the Trackmania quarterfinals.
AG.AL needed a top three finish in Trackmania to leapfrog Falcons. French player Gwendal “Gwen” Duparc won the tournament outright, collecting the full 1,000 points and the $130,000 individual prize to push AG.AL to 5,300 points overall, 700 ahead of Falcons.
Final Club Championship Standings
AG.AL topped the table with 5,300 points and the $7m prize, backed by a first place finish in Tekken 8, second place finishes in Chess, Free Fire and the Honor of Kings World Cup, and a third place finish in Teamfight Tactics.
Team Falcons finished second on 4,600 points for $5m, ahead of Team Vitality on 3,300 points for $4m, Natus Vincere on 2,950 points for $3m and Team Liquid on 2,700 points for $2m.

A Record Seventh Edition
The Esports World Cup 2026 ran across seven weeks in Paris, its first edition hosted outside Riyadh, drawing more than 2,000 players from 200 clubs across 25 tournaments and 24 games for a $75m prize pool.
The Esports Foundation reported 850 million viewers and 440 million hours watched, up 13% and 26% year on year, with 175,000 tickets sold, up 94% on 2025.
“AG.AL has been crowned Esports World Cup 2026 Club Champion,” the Esports Foundation said in its press release, adding that the competition connected more than 1.5 million players across 330 Road to EWC qualifying events over the year.

“Winning the Club Championship is a historic milestone for AG.AL and a proud moment for everyone who believed in what we are building,” said Eddy Chen, chief operating officer at AG.AL, in the Esports Foundation release, crediting Gwen’s Trackmania win and M. Zubair’s Tekken eight title for the club’s campaign.
“Congratulations to AG.AL on an extraordinary Club Championship victory and on earning their place in esports history,” said Ralf Reichert, chief executive officer of the Esports Foundation. AG.AL had finished runner-up to Falcons in both 2024 and 2025 before this year’s win.
Other Storylines From The Final Week
The Esports Foundation highlighted several other results from the closing week in Paris. France’s Caliste Henry-Hennebert led Karmine Corp to the League of Legends grand final in front of a home crowd, while 15-year old Chilean player Jaime “Craime” Bustos beat two EVO champions to become the youngest champion in EWC history.
Team Spirit beat FUT Esports 3-1 in the Counter-Strike 2 grand final, taking that tournament’s $600,000 top prize.
The Esports Foundation also signed a memorandum of understanding with France’s Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life covering youth development and digital skills programmes, part of what it described as a long term partnership building on this year’s event.
