BETBY Launches SlotBets To Merge Sportsbook & Casino Play
BETBY has launched SlotBets, a new betting product that turns live sporting action into fast, slot-style gameplay, creating a category the Tier 1 sportsbook supplier calls slotbetting. The launch was announced on September 8, 2026.
The first application, SlotBasketball, runs on 15-second betting rounds tied directly to a live match. Each round splits into three five-second windows, represented as three reels, with each reel recording the highest-value event in its window, such as a three-pointer, a missed shot or a foul.
When the round ends, the three reels form a combination, and matching outcomes trigger payouts according to the game's paytable. BETBY says the underlying match, not a random number generator, determines every result, unlike existing casino products that use sports themes.
Move Players Between Verticals
BETBY frames SlotBets as a way to move players between its online casino and sportsbook audiences. Casino-first players can follow sport through familiar reel mechanics without needing to understand betting markets, while existing bettors get a faster way to engage with a match inside the live tracker.
Kirill Nekrasov, head of innovation and R&D at BETBY, said: "SlotBets started with a very simple question: why should a casino player need to become a sportsbook expert before they can enjoy betting on sport?"
He added: "We wanted to create something immediately understandable, but still genuinely powered by the live event. That is why the sport cannot simply be decoration around a casino mechanic. Every basket, miss, foul, stoppage or quiet interval can influence the game, so the match is continuously building the SlotBet in real time."
Basketball First, Esports Next
BETBY chose basketball as the first sport due to its high tempo and steady flow of scoring events. SlotBasketball also includes a Pause Bonus, which lets eligible stoppage time contribute to an additional payout multiplier.
The supplier is also building SlotBets formats for its 24/7 esports feed, including eSlotSoccer, eSlotCricket, eSlotHockey and eSlotPingPong, intended to keep engagement steady between major sporting fixtures.
For operators, BETBY says SlotBets can sit in either the sports betting site or casino product, integrated through a lightweight iFrame, and has potential for retail casino deployment given its slot-style interface.

What's Next
BETBY and the wider SlotBets Games category will be shown publicly for the first time at SBC Summit Lisbon, running from September 28 to 30, 2026, where the supplier will demonstrate the product on its stand.
Nekrasov said the ambition extends past a single release: "We believe SlotBets Games can develop its own recognisable mechanics, terminology and player expectations, in the same way that categories such as Crash Games did before. We are introducing a new way to play sports, and we call it slotbetting."
