DraftKings Expands Responsible Gaming Tools For NFL Season

Leading sports betting site DraftKings has launched a series of new responsible engagement initiatives timed to the start of the NFL season, including flexible three to 364-day cool-off periods, a celebrity-fronted awareness campaign and a new gamified education tool for football fans.
New Tools And Longer Cool-Off Options
The Boston-based operator said the push is designed "to promote responsible engagement and increase awareness and use of the tools and resources to help customers make informed decisions and engage responsibly," according to its announcement.
"At DraftKings, responsible engagement is embedded in how we operate and is essential to building trust with our customers and our long-term sustainability," said Lori Kalani, Chief Responsible Gaming Officer at DraftKings. "We've continued to invest in tools and resources that give customers enhanced access to information about their play and more choices for managing how they engage."
The centrepiece of the push is a new custom cool-off feature that lets customers choose their own break from the platform, running anywhere from three days up to 364 days, sitting alongside DraftKings' existing player-set limit tools, My Budget Builder and My Stat Sheet.
A Celebrity Campaign And A PGA TOUR Sweepstakes
DraftKings has also launched a new digital advertising campaign featuring Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas that began on September 10, continuing a road-trip theme the pair has used in prior DraftKings marketing, this time centred on responsible engagement messaging rather than product promotion.
Running from September 16 to 29, the operator is also offering a PGA TOUR sweepstakes that rewards customers for actually using its responsible engagement features, with an all-expenses-paid trip to THE PLAYERS Championship as the prize for eligible entrants who interact with tools such as My Budget Builder during the promotion window.
Casino Games Hub
Expanding The Gamalyze Partnership
DraftKings is separately expanding its partnership with Mindway AI through Gamalyze American Football, a gamified responsible-engagement education experience for NFL fans.
The launch builds on Gamalyze Casino, which DraftKings folded into its My Budget and Controls hub in January 2026, and Gamalyze Football, which ran during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The American football version will run through digital channels and in-person activations, including at the DraftKings Sports Bar.
The announcement comes as US operators face growing scrutiny over marketing intensity during football season, with responsible gaming messaging increasingly built into operator promotions rather than treated as a separate compliance obligation.
