BetBoom, FUT In PGL Bucharest Playoffs; G2 Out
BetBoom and FUT have secured the first two playoff places at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, while G2 were knocked out of the Counter-Strike 2 event without a single series win after DENDELE beat them 2-1 on Monday, October 26.
The $1.25m event, running October 24 to 31 in Bucharest, has already produced results that few predicted, which matters to anyone weighing up CS2 markets on our betting sites page. Sixteen teams entered the Swiss stage, and three wins book a playoff spot.
BetBoom Overpower NAVI
BetBoom reached 3-0 with a 2-0 win over NAVI, taking Dust2 13-10 and Nuke 13-9, according to Hotspawn. The side had earlier beaten Spirit 2-1 and Nemiga 2-0, and Pley.gg's match report says it outscored NAVI 17-4 after half-time to close the series out.
NAVI drop to 2-1 and will play Vitality on Tuesday for a playoff place. The defeat was their first of the event, and a win over Vitality would send them through.
FUT were the first team through, beating TYLOO 2-0 and Liquid 2-0 before an upset 2-1 win over top seed Vitality in round three, as Pley.gg's event page shows. FUT also won the last PGL event in Bucharest in April, beating Astralis 3-1 in the final, and arrived with AWPer SunPayus, who joined from G2 at the start of October.
G2 Finish Without A Win
The biggest story of the day was G2. They lost 0-2 to NAVI and 0-2 to Aurora earlier in the Swiss stage, then fell 1-2 to DENDELE in the elimination match. G2 forced a decider by winning Ancient 16-14 in overtime after trailing 12-6, but DENDELE won Nuke 13-5 and Inferno 13-5 to close it out.
G2 had been one of ten teams invited on Valve ranking and leave in joint last place alongside 9z, who also finished 0-3. DENDELE, who came through the qualifiers, are ranked 33 places below G2.
All four qualifier teams, Nemiga, Liquid, TYLOO and DENDELE, have won at least one series in Bucharest, while G2 have not. Both eliminated sides take home $12,500 for 15th to 16th place.
