Johan Steps Down From Wanted Goons, Takes CS2 Break

Wanted Goons player Johan Delgado has stepped down from the North American Counter-Strike 2 team and plans to take a break from competitive play, according to a statement the team gave to Dust2.us on October 20, 2026.

Delgado, who goes by Johan, joined the roster in January 2025 when it first signed with Wanted Goons. According to the same report, his departure comes a little under a month after Kevin "Magic" Simpson also left.

A Second Departure In Under A Month

The exits leave Dylan "killerPandas" Pellegrino and Jacob "febreeze" Lee as the only remaining members of the original lineup. Dust2.us reported that Johan posted a 1.08 rating over 89 maps in 2026, the highest among his now-former teammates.

Wanted Goons are now Pellegrino, Lee, Hunter "hibui" Conklin and Lucas "LUKE4k" Mizumoto, with Ian "Fraq-KTR" Burr as coach. That is four players, so the team has a vacancy to fill. The team has not announced a replacement.

HLTV lists Delgado as 23 years old and records his time with Wanted Goons as 644 days, from the January 2025 signing to October 20, 2026, when it logged him as having parted ways with the team.

A Quiet 2026

Dust2.us described 2026 as a quiet year for Wanted Goons, who spent most of it outside the top 20 in the region. Their best result in recent months was a top six finish in NSTLGA League Season 1.

Its most recent ESL Challenger League appearance, North America Cup 3, ended with a 7th to 8th place finish, according to HLTV.

HLTV match data shows the team's October run in the ESL Challenger League: a 1-2 loss to Iowa Stormboar on October 8, 2-1 wins over New Legends on October 9 and FarmVille on October 10, and a 0-2 loss to DETONATE on October 11.

What Comes Next

Wanted Goons currently have a 3-1 record in ESEA Advanced Season 59, and their next match is against counterstrike Team on October 22, 2026. The team has not said how it will cover the vacant spot for that fixture.

The report does not give a timeline for the break, and neither Johan nor the team has said whether he intends to return to the roster or the scene in the future. Roster churn is a regular feature of the North American scene below the top tier, and it matters to anyone following lower-division Counter-Strike markets, because lineups can change between a market opening and the match being played.

Anyone tracking the team's matches on betting sites should check for a confirmed lineup before the October 22 fixture, since the roster currently lists four players and a coach after two departures in a single month, and the team has not said who will fill the open place.
