SportsBetExpert Pull Out Of LAST CHANCE LAN

SportsBetExpert (SBE) have withdrawn from FiReSPORTS LAST CHANCE 2026 after their already-slim chance of reaching the PGL Singapore Major was reduced to zero, forfeiting their place in the $75,000 Buenos Aires LAN rather than fund a trip the team's owner says can no longer pay off.

Peter "PETE187" Anadio, who owns and runs SBE, announced the withdrawal on X, telling followers he has accepted the team will not qualify for the Major and does not want to spend the money needed to send the roster to Argentina for an event running October 29 to November 1.

Long-Shot Bid Ran Out Of Road

SBE signed up for LAST CHANCE on September 22 alongside a string of other Major hopefuls, including Wildcard and Voca, all chasing Valve Ranking Series (VRS) points in the final qualifying window before the PGL Singapore Major invite deadline.

LAST CHANCE's 16-team field also includes international names such as 100 Thieves, NIP, GamerLegion and SAW, alongside South American sides LOUD, DENDELE and Fluxo. The team's run collapsed last weekend when they were eliminated by NRG in 5th-6th place at FRAG University. Analyst model MischiefCS had already given SBE just a 0.3% chance of qualifying before that exit, and the loss to NRG effectively ended the campaign.

SBE's qualification odds had been thin for weeks. The same MischiefCS model had the team at 3.8% in September, prompting Anadio to send the roster to ROG Journey Autumn 2026 in Sweden, SBE's first international LAN, as what was described at the time as a "hail mary" attempt to boost their standing. That trip also ended early, with SBE eliminated in the group stage after going 1-3.

The Knock-On Effect

SBE's withdrawal opens their LAST CHANCE slot for ShindeN, next on the tournament's wait list. Should ShindeN decline, the spot would pass to Imperial, a shift that carries real weight for the Major race given Imperial currently sit at a 56% qualification probability. Either team's participation, or absence, in Buenos Aires could move their own odds of reaching Singapore.

For betting sites offering outright and qualification markets on the PGL Singapore Major, SBE's exit removes one of the longer-odds names from the LAST CHANCE field while tightening the stakes for the bubble teams who remain, with Imperial's price likely to move depending on who takes up the vacated spot.

LAST CHANCE itself carries extra weight as the last event on the calendar where teams can still bank VRS points before the Major invite deadline, making every withdrawal and wait-list promotion a live factor for anyone pricing the qualification race.

Anadio has already signed SBE up for the Austin LAN later in the season, though he has been openly critical of that event's expanded team format, leaving the organisation's next appearance in doubt.
