Flutter Names Dan Taylor As Group CEO To Succeed Peter Jackson

Flutter Entertainment, the owner of popular betting sites - Paddy Power and FanDuel, is changing its leadership.

On August 5, the company announced that Dan Taylor will become Group Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2026, succeeding Peter Jackson, who steps down after almost nine years in charge. Taylor will also join Flutter's board of directors on the same date.

Dan Taylor Steps Up From International

Taylor is currently chief executive of Flutter's International division, the arm that sits outside the United States and has generated more than $9 billion in revenue and over $2.2 billion in adjusted core earnings during 2025, according to the company.

Flutter said Taylor, who has spent more than a decade at the group, has helped drive growth through a run of acquisitions and organic expansion while building some of the sector's strongest brands.

Peter Jackson Leaves After Nine Years

Jackson has led the group since 2018 and oversaw its transformation from Paddy Power Betfair into what Flutter describes as the world's leading online sports betting and iGaming operator.

During his tenure the company expanded across new markets, moved its primary listing to New York and assembled a portfolio of brands spanning several continents. He will formally hand over the role on October 1.

What Flutter's Board Said

John Bryant, chair of the board, said Taylor "has an outstanding track record of delivering results, building high-performing teams and leading complex international businesses". He also thanked Jackson, crediting the outgoing chief with turning Flutter into a truly global business.

Taylor said he was "delighted to take on the role" and would focus on "delivering for our colleagues, customers and shareholders" while building on recent momentum.

Jackson said it had been "a privilege to lead Flutter's transformation" over nearly nine years and that he was proud of what the business had achieved.

The leadership announcement arrived alongside Flutter's second quarter 2026 financial results, released the same day, with a call for analysts and investors scheduled for the afternoon.

The group reported $16.4 billion of revenue for the 2025 fiscal year and runs a portfolio that includes FanDuel, Sky Betting and Gaming, PokerStars, Betfair, Sisal and Sportsbet. Full detail is set out in Flutter's official announcement.
