Caisse d'Epargne Partners With OTP for EMEA Masters

French esports broadcaster One Trick Production (OTP) has signed major French bank Caisse d'Epargne as an official commercial partner of its coverage of the EMEA Masters, the secondary-tier regional League of Legends circuit spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
OTP confirmed the deal via its own account on X, posting: "For EMEA Masters, the family is growing. Welcome to Caisse d'Epargne, new partner of the competition on OTP!" The bank's branding is already appearing on OTP's broadcast ahead of the EMEA Masters playoffs stage.

Deal Terms & What It Covers
Neither party has disclosed contract length, financial value or secondary broadcast activations attached to the partnership. The agreement formally integrates Caisse d'Epargne into OTP's tournament production, alongside the broadcast's other existing partners, fitness and training network On Air and chocolate brand KitKat.
OTP was founded in late 2020 by French casters Fabien "Chips" Culie and Charles "Noi" Lapassat after the pair left O'Gaming TV, reportedly over a difference in editorial vision for the channel.
The Paris-based company now holds official French-language broadcasting rights for the domestic Ligue Francaise de League of Legends, the regional EMEA Masters and global Riot Games events including the League of Legends EMEA Championship, the League of Legends Champions Korea and the World Championship, making it the primary destination for French-speaking fans following those circuits.
French Banks Keep Betting On eSports
Caisse d'Epargne, a core subsidiary of Groupe BPCE and one of France's largest retail banking networks, has historically sponsored traditional sport, including national athletic federations and the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
The OTP deal extends that sponsorship spend into digital culture and French esports, building on existing grass-roots gaming tournaments and university competitive programmes the bank already supports regionally.
It is not the only French bank making that move. Team Vitality partnered with Credit Agricole on a limited-edition payment card, and CIC expanded its Karmine Corp partnership with a co-branded premium Gold Mastercard aimed at the club's under-28 fanbase, offering waived service fees and a merchandise voucher alongside the card.
Both deals, like the Caisse d'Epargne and OTP tie-up, pair a national banking brand with a French esports audience that skews younger than most traditional sponsorship categories.
Why It Matters For Betting Market
EMEA Masters feeds directly into qualification for the League of Legends EMEA Championship and the Esports World Cup, giving it a growing betting audience across European League of Legends markets on sports betting sites.
A mainstream banking sponsor putting its name on the playoffs broadcast signals continued commercial confidence in competitive League of Legends in France even as Riot's franchised top tier remains the primary focus for most operators.
OTP's broadcast also carries the LFL, the LEC, the LCK and the World Championship, giving a new sponsor like Caisse d'Epargne exposure across several League of Legends properties beyond EMEA Masters alone.
