Just Slots Unveils Vortex Feature In Major UI Overhaul
iGaming content provider Just Slots has released a new mobile-first user interface across its game portfolio, introducing a "VIP shop" that brings together its bonus-purchase features, including a new mechanic called Vortex.
Vortex lets players gamble a fraction of a Bonus Buy's price for the chance to win the full bonus outright. Players choose how many Vortex Wheels to spin, staking between 10% and 90% of the Bonus Buy price; if a wheel misses, the wager is forfeited and play returns to the base game, according to European Gaming.
Nick Formosa, head of client strategy at Just Slots, said: "Vortex gives players a new level of choice that we have not seen before: gamble a fraction of a Bonus Buy's price and spin the Vortex Wheels for the full feature, or buy it outright."
New UI Rolling Out Across The Portfolio
The refreshed UI regroups core mobile controls, including spin, quick-spin and auto-spin, into a single in-line cluster alongside the new VIP shop button, freeing up screen space on mobile devices.
The overhaul is live in the game Ice Vacation and will continue rolling out across new Just Slots releases, the studio said, as it looks to attract feature-hunting players and streamers.
Part Of A Wider Push On Player Choice
Just Slots said the goal behind Vortex and the new VIP shop is to build technology that gives players on slot games more flexibility and choice, unlocking the chance for lower-stake players to access bigger bonuses that a full Bonus Buy price would otherwise put out of reach.
The VIP shop also consolidates other bonus-purchase options, such as HotSpin and standard Bonus Buys, into a single interface alongside the new mobile control layout, rather than scattering them across separate menus as in the studio's previous UI.
