LCKY Group Completes RoyalCasino Acquisition In Denmark

LCKY Group has completed its acquisition of RoyalCasino, adding one of the larger online casinos in Denmark to its brand portfolio.
The group announced on October 20, 2026, that the deal closed in August, once all required approvals were in place.
In its announcement, LCKY said the two businesses are already making strong progress with their post-merger integration plan.
The Numbers LCKY Is Forecasting
LCKY expects RoyalCasino to lift group revenue by 18% to 20% and group EBITDA by 29% to 31%. The group did not publish financial terms for the purchase itself.
RoyalCasino operates only in Denmark. LCKY described the market as stable and well-regulated and said the business has built a strong, defensible position there.
The acquisition gives the group what it called meaningful scale in the country and improves its operating leverage.
The group also said the deal will help RoyalCasino launch its brands in other markets, with the combined expertise of both teams feeding into product and customer experience.
What The Executives Said
Richard Brown, CEO of LCKY Group, said: "The acquisition of RoyalCasino enhances our scale and provides clear opportunities to strengthen our presence in Denmark, a market that aligns closely with our focus on regulated, sustainable growth."
He added: "We look forward to working closely with RoyalCasino to realise those opportunities and drive synergies that can create long-term value."
Per Petersen, CEO of RoyalCasino, said: "RoyalCasino is one of the largest online casino operators in Denmark, a market characterised by its high levels of innovation and competition."
He added: "We see the combination of our local expertise and LCKY's scale and pedigree as a great recipe for shared success, and we're thrilled to now be able to introduce them to our Danish customers."
Bigger Portfolio And New General Counsel
LCKY Group operates a portfolio of eight international casino brands, including the newly added RoyalCasino, according to a separate company announcement regarding the appointment of Neil Chetcuti as General Counsel.
Chetcuti joins from Sportingtech, where he was Head of Legal, and previously spent more than six years at Gaming Innovation Group.
In that announcement, Brown said the group is always looking for new opportunities to expand into regulated markets and needs a legal function capable of supporting those ambitions.
What To Watch
The first full set of results that include RoyalCasino will show whether the revenue and EBITDA forecasts hold.
The other test is whether the RoyalCasino brands launch in new markets, as LCKY has said they will.
