Macau Operators Cut Grand Prix Sponsorship 16.7%

Macau's six casino operators will contribute a combined MOP100 million to this year's Macau Grand Prix, 16.7% less than the MOP120 million they gave in 2025.
The Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee (MGPOC) set out the sponsorship split at a press conference on October 16, 2026, in an official release published by the Macao SAR government.
The fall comes from two casino operators. Melco Resorts & Entertainment and Wynn Macau are each contributing MOP10 million, half of what each gave a year ago.
Who Is Paying What?
MGM China, Sands China, Galaxy Entertainment Group and SJM Resorts are each sponsoring MOP20 million and are listed as elite sponsors. Melco and Wynn Macau are listed as premium sponsors at MOP10 million each. That adds up to MOP100 million.
In 2025 all six operators committed MOP20 million apiece, according to the government announcement for the 72nd edition. Six times MOP20 million is MOP120 million, so the MOP20 million drop this year equals the 16.7% reduction.
How The Organisers Frame It
The organising committee describes the Grand Prix as a platform for local businesses to invest in non-gaming elements and to use their resources and expertise to widen the event's reach. It says it intends to keep working with the private sector on sports tourism projects that bring in international visitors and strengthen links between the tourism, leisure and sports industries.
