Riot Games Reveals VCT 2027 Schedule Spanning 15 Host Cities
Riot Games has published the full 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) calendar, confirming 15 host cities across four regions and a restructured, tournament-first season running from January to October 2027.
The announcement, published on Riot’s own VALORANT Esports site on October 15, 2026, replaces the league’s previous long-running stage format with more than 50 individual tournaments: Kickoffs, Cups, Masters and the season-ending Champions event.
The 2027 Calendar
The season opens with regional Kickoffs from January 14 to February 7, 2027, held in São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok and Hangzhou, feeding into Masters Seoul from February 20 to March 3.
VCT Cup 1 runs from April 29 to May 23 in Mexico City, Warsaw, Manila and Wuhan, building to Masters València from June 5 to 20, the tour’s first event in that city, though Spain previously hosted a Masters in Madrid in 2024.
VCT Cup 2 then runs in Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Tokyo and Shanghai, before VALORANT Champions and the Game Changers Championship close the year in Austin, Texas, from September 16 to October 10, 2027, the first time Champions has returned to the United States since 2023 and the first VCT event ever held in Texas.
A Tournament-First Structure
Riot said the redesign is built around "every match should carry weight," open qualification to every global event and live events reaching more locations.
Non-partnered teams previously needed to win an entire season-long Ascension campaign to reach Masters or Champions; under the new system, Open Qualifiers will give any team multiple chances a year to work toward a Cup or Masters berth.
Kickoff Qualifiers for the 2027 season begin in November 2026, giving teams their first opportunity to earn a place in the new Kickoff events, with further Opens opening additional routes into Cups as the season progresses.
The Philippines’ VCT Pacific region, for example, will host its own Pacific Cup in Manila from April 29 to May 23, running alongside the other three Cup locations.
That event replaces the previous franchise-era VCT Pacific Stages, which were largely held in Seoul, South Korea, with travelling finals weekends.
From 2027, VCT Pacific splits into dedicated regional competitions for South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, while the Philippines is grouped into a Pacific Wild Card region alongside Malaysia, Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia.

Why It Matters For Betting Markets
A calendar built around more than 50 discrete tournaments, rather than a handful of long stage splits, gives sports betting sites offering esports markets substantially more live events to price throughout the year, spread across four continents rather than concentrated in windows.
Operators that already run VALORANT match-winner and map markets will need to track 15 separate host-city schedules rather than a small number of regional leagues once the new format begins with Kickoff qualifiers in November 2026.
The open-qualification model also widens the pool of teams that can reach a televised Masters or Champions event compared with the closed Ascension system it replaces, potentially increasing the number of lower-ranked teams appearing in markets bettors have not previously had reason to track.
