Sweepstakes.io Launches Independent Casino Review Platform

Sweepstakes.io Launches Independent Casino Review Platform

Sweepstakes.io has relaunched its casino comparison site as an independent review and analysis platform for the social casino sector - the company announced the launch on August 25, 2026

The move comes as six US states have enacted bans on dual-currency sweepstakes gaming this year, tightening the regulatory picture for an industry that has grown rapidly as a legal alternative to real-money online gambling in states without licensed iGaming.

A Structured Review Framework

According to the company's announcement, the revamped platform evaluates licensed and operating social casino brands across four core areas.

They are: legal compliance and state-by-state accessibility of sweepstakes coin models, the speed and transparency of prize redemption, platform security and identity verification, and the software behind the games, including random number generator certification and return-to-player rates on slot games, table and casual titles.

"The sweepstakes and social casino industry has evolved from a niche market into a primary pillar of modern digital entertainment," said Travis Beaumont, spokesperson for Sweepstakes.io.

"However, the rapid influx of new platforms has created an information gap for consumers navigating different sweeps rules, prize redemption protocols, and platform mechanics. Sweepstakes.io was established to provide clear, unbiased transparency, giving users the empirical data necessary to evaluate platform safety and operational integrity."

Growth Meets a Tightening Rulebook

Sweepstakes-style casinos let players use a dual-currency model, typically a purchasable virtual currency alongside a free promotional currency that can be redeemed for cash prizes, to offer casino-style games in states where real-money online casino gaming is not licensed.

The model has expanded quickly across North America over the past two years, drawing both new operators and closer regulatory scrutiny.

Sweepstakes.io's own announcement points to six US states that have moved this year to ban the dual-currency structure, part of a broader state-by-state pushback against sweepstakes casinos that operators and consumers now have to track jurisdiction by jurisdiction.

Sweepstakes.io describes itself as a centralized informational hub built to filter marketing claims and give consumers standardized, objective comparisons rather than promotional copy.

The company said the platform is headquartered in the United States and covers licensed and operating social casino brands with operator evaluations, technical reviews, legal breakdowns and ongoing industry intelligence.
