Tommy Corlett Joins SolutionsHub To Lead Regulatory Assurance
Isle of Man-based compliance consultancy SolutionsHub has appointed Tommy Corlett as its Head of Regulatory Assurance and Remediation.
Corlett joins after nine years at the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), where he started as a Gaming Inspector before moving into AML/CFT inspections as a Senior Inspector in November 2023.
Nine Years Of Regulator-Side Experience
In his most recent GSC role, Corlett examined whether licensed firms were actually meeting their AML and counter-terrorist financing obligations in practice, including how their internal controls worked and where their weaknesses sat.
SolutionsHub chief executive Lee Hills said that regulator-side background is what the firm's clients need, noting Corlett knows exactly what gets tested and where firms can come unstuck, what regulators expect to see, how they test it, and what happens when the evidence doesn't stack up.
Corlett said the move lets him apply his inspection experience from the other side of the table, putting his nine years at the GSC to use helping businesses understand what regulators are actually looking for when they test something in practice, and said what appealed to him about SolutionsHub was its focus on evidence and on properly sorting problems that need fixing.

Role Spans Licensing And Ongoing Compliance
Corlett will work with SolutionsHub clients entering regulated markets as well as online casino businesses already managing day-to-day compliance obligations.
Having spent years asking firms to show regulators the evidence behind their controls, he will now use that perspective to help operators close gaps before regulatory scrutiny and maintain the standards expected after licensing approval, covering both licensing applications and the compliance plans that follow.
The appointment adds to SolutionsHub's bench of former regulator staff advising operators and suppliers across the online betting sites and iGaming licensing process.
