How The Swiss Stage Got Here
The Swiss Stage opened on October 23 with the LCK winning all four of its opening matches and the LPL losing all of theirs. The LPL recovered on October 24, when Top Esports, Invictus Gaming and Bilibili Gaming all won.
That day also produced two all-Korean clashes, with Gen.G beating Hanwha Life and Dplus KIA beating T1, and left four teams at 2-0: Gen.G, Dplus KIA, LYON and Movistar KOI.
Gen.G And Dplus KIA Go 3-0
Both Korean sides finished the group 3-0 on October 25. Dplus KIA swept Movistar KOI 2-0, reaching the quarterfinals for the first time since 2022, after beating G2 on opening day and T1 in Round 2.
