Zitro Digital Renews Its Malta B2B Supplier Licence Until 2036

Zitro Digital, the online gaming arm of supplier Zitro, has renewed its B2B online gaming supplier licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the company announced on October 7, 2026.
The renewed licence will remain valid until 2036, letting Zitro Digital keep supplying its growing portfolio of digital gaming content to operators through one of Europe's key regulated jurisdictions.
Why Malta Matters To Zitro Digital
"Malta continues to play a central role in the European iGaming industry, with many leading operators, suppliers and industry experts based there," said Michael Bauer, CEO of Zitro Digital. "Maintaining our license in this jurisdiction is therefore essential to our continued growth.
The Malta Gaming Authority has long been at the forefront of stable and forward-looking regulation in Europe, and we are pleased to continue working alongside the MGA for many years to come."
Part Of A Longer Regulated-Market Push
Zitro Digital has been adding regulated-market footholds beyond Europe too. In July 2026 it went live on bet365's platform in Brazil, days after a similar launch with Betnacional, taking titles from its slots and Video Bingo catalogue to players in one of the world's fastest-growing regulated markets - coverage GDC reported at the time.
The Malta renewal reinforces the same strategy from the other direction, locking in long-term access to an established hub rather than a newly opened one.
About Zitro
Zitro is a supplier founded in 2007 by Johnny Ortiz that now operates in more than 50 countries and is best known for its cabinets and games on physical casino floors worldwide.
Zitro Digital is the company's online division, built to carry that land-based portfolio, including its slot mechanics and Video Bingo format, into regulated online gambling markets as they open up across Europe and Latin America.
What A B2B Supplier Licence Covers
A Malta Gaming Authority B2B licence allows a company to supply gambling-related products and services, such as games, platforms and content, to other licensed operators, rather than taking bets or holding player funds itself.
Because many of the operators Zitro Digital supplies are themselves licensed in Malta or route European traffic through MGA-licensed entities, holding a current B2B licence there is a practical requirement for keeping its content in front of those operators' players, which is why a straightforward renewal like this one still matters commercially.
A Licence Base Built For The Long Term
Securing a decade-long renewal in Malta, rather than a shorter-term extension, gives Zitro Digital certainty over one of its most important European regulatory bases well into the next decade.
Combined with its newer footholds in markets such as Brazil, the renewal underlines a supplier strategy built on holding durable licences in established hubs while adding fresh ones in growing regulated markets, rather than treating either track as more important than the other.
For operators choosing which suppliers to integrate, a long-dated licence like this one also removes a layer of compliance risk, since there is no near-term renewal date for partners to monitor before they can keep offering its content to their own regulated player bases.
