Alexander Isak's future remains a hot topic of debate across Europe, with a summer transfer away from Newcastle on the cards.

Many pundits have described Isak as the most complete striker in European football, but will Newcastle be able to keep him?

A number of clubs are keen to add the Swedish forward to their squad in the summer, but where will the 25-year-old be playing his football next season?

To stand any chance of keeping their prolific goalscorer, Newcastle really need to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Currently third, with four games to go, the Magpies can be backed at around 10/11 on the best betting sites for a top-five finish.

The Swede has scored 22 Premier League goals this season and bagged the second goal for Newcastle in their Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool, which ended their 70-year drought for a domestic trophy.

Newcastle are unlikely to be able to do much transfer business due to the need to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, but Eddie Howe certainly won't want to lose his star man.

Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan is adamant that the Magpies won’t sell, and Isak is 4/6 to remain on Tyneside.

But should he depart in the summer, we've looked at some of the clubs expected to make a bid for the big Swede.

Liverpool Look To Strengthen Attack

Liverpool have opened talks to sign Isak ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano

The Reds have had a brilliant season in the Premier League, winning a 20th title with plenty of time to spare.

Mohamed Salah has been in amazing form for Liverpool this term, but other players in their attack failed to step up as they lost over two legs against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, while also going down to Isak and Newcastle at Wembley.

Salah’s future at the club has been confirmed after he signed a new contract, but it looks like Liverpool will still be looking to refresh their attacking options, with the Reds 2/1 favourites with football betting sites to sign the Swede this summer.

Isak Could Be Missing Piece For Gunners

Arsenal fans are crying out for their club to sign a striker, and Isak could be perfect for Mikel Arteta's side.

A lack of goals has been one reason the Gunners have not been able to end their 20-year wait for a league title.

If Arteta can persuade the club to splash the cash on a forward, then the best odds of 12/1 on betting apps for Isak to join Arsenal offers great value.

The move would suit Isak, who has found it very easy to score goals in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad in August 2022 for around £63m.

Barca To Offer La Liga Return?

Isak made his name at Real Sociedad, for whom he made 132 appearances prior to joining his current employers.

It is by no means beyond the realms of possibility that he returns to La Liga at the end of the season.

Barcelona have identified a new forward as a must-have addition ahead of next season, not least because Robert Lewandowski is approaching his 37th birthday in August.

Barca, who are four points clear in La Liga with five games to go, are 12/1 to secure the Swede’s signature in the summer.

Real Madrid Hard To Turn Down

It is well known that if Real Madrid come calling, it is hard for any player to turn them down.

That is likely to be the case for Newcastle's star man, but are they in need of another forward?

Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are a world-class trio, although the latter has said he is considering his options. They also have the impressive youngster Endrick.

Nonetheless, Real are 25/1 to add Isak to their ranks.

Paris Saint-Germain Heading In The Right Direction

After years of underachieving with Lionel Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain seem to be moving in the right direction.

Luis Enrique masterminded Liverpool's exit from the Champions League, the competition which will judge whether the Spaniard has been a success or not.

Adding a player of Isak's quality would be a major coup for PSG, who are 33/1 to sign him.

Manchester City Are In The Mix

With Erling Haaland committing his future to the club, Manchester City are not necessarily in the market for a new number nine.

Saying that, Pep Guardiola will be desperate to freshen up his struggling squad in the summer as they look to reset ahead of another assault on the Premier League title, and Isak would be an exciting addition.

Since Julian Alvarez left the club last summer, City have had no real back-up for Haaland, although Omar Marmoush has shown glimpses of what he can do.

Guardiola's side are 33/1 to land Isak, but it is unlikely that he would be happy to play second fiddle to the big Norwegian.

Others in the frame include Chelsea and Manchester United, who can be backed at 33/1
