Alexander Isak's future remains a huge topic of debate across Europe, with a move away from Newcastle a possibility.

One of the most complete strikers in European football, Liverpool remain favourites with betting sites to sign the Swede this summer, and reports suggest they are ready to make their move.

A number of other clubs are also keen to add the forward to their squad during the transfer window, but where will the 25-year-old be playing football next season?

The Magpies have secured Champions League football next season, and at odds of 1/10 to stay at the club, a move away is still unlikely.

The question is, would Eddie Howe and co be able to turn down a big offer for their top scorer?

Below, we look at possible destinations for the forward who bagged 23 league goals last season.

Liverpool To Splash More Cash

Liverpool have already begun to add to their squad this summer, and are about to break the British transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Premier League Champions would have to break that record again to get Isak, with Newcastle holding out for a reported £150 million.

The Reds had a brilliant campaign in the Premier League, winning a 20th title with four games to spare.

Mohamed Salah was once again the catalyst for success, but other players in their attack failed to step up as they lost over two legs against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, while also going down to Isak and Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.

Salah’s future at the club has been confirmed after he signed a new contract, but it looks like Liverpool will still be looking to refresh their attacking options, and they are 7/2 favourites with football betting sites to sign the Swede this summer.

Isak Could Be Missing Piece For Gunners

Arsenal fans are crying out for their club to sign a striker, and Isak could be perfect for Mikel Arteta's side.

One reason the Gunners have not been able to end their 20-year wait for a league title is a lack of goals.

If Arteta can persuade the club to splash the cash on a forward, then the best odds of 10/1 on betting apps for Isak to join Arsenal offer great value.

The move would suit Isak, who has found it very easy to score goals in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad in August 2022 for around £63m.

Barca To Offer La Liga Return?

Isak made his name at Real Sociedad, for whom he made 132 appearances before joining his current employers.

It is by no means beyond the realms of possibility that he returns to La Liga this summer.

Barcelona have identified a new forward as a must-have addition ahead of next season, not least because Robert Lewandowski is approaching his 37th birthday in August.

Barca, who won a league and cup double in 2024/25, are 14/1 to secure the Swede’s signature in the summer.

Isak Could Join Kane And Co

Harry Kane finally got his hands on silverware last season as Bayern Munich regained the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen by 13 points.

Kane was the top scorer in the German top flight for the second successive season, but could he be joined at the Allianz Arena by Isak?

They would form a formidable strike partnership and boost a Bayern squad beaten by Inter Milan in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Isak is 16/1 with Ladbrokes to join the German champions.

Real Madrid Hard To Turn Down

It is well known that if Real Madrid come calling, it is hard for any player to turn them down.

That is likely to be the case for Newcastle's star man, but are they in need of another forward?

Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are a world-class trio, although the latter has said he is considering his options. They also have the impressive youngster Endrick.

Nonetheless, Real are 33/1 to add Isak to their ranks.

Paris Saint-Germain Heading In The Right Direction

After years of underachieving with Lionel Messi, Mbappe and Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain are moving in the right direction.

Luis Enrique's side were exquisite in their 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan, and have a squad full of top young players.

Adding a player of Isak's quality in the summer would be a major coup for PSG, who are 50/1 to sign him.

Manchester City Move Unlikely

With Erling Haaland committing his future to the club, Manchester City are not necessarily in the market for a new number nine.

Saying that, Pep Guardiola will be desperate to freshen up his struggling squad in the summer as they look to reset ahead of another assault on the Premier League title, and Isak would be an exciting addition.

Since Julian Alvarez left the club last summer, City have had no real back-up for Haaland, although Omar Marmoush has shown glimpses of what he can do.

Guardiola's side are 50/1 to land Isak, but it is unlikely that he would be happy to play second fiddle to the big Norwegian.

Others in the frame include Chelsea (50/1) and Manchester United (50/1).
