Saturday's Both Teams To Score Tips: Liverpool In The Spotlight In 7/1 Acca

Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Brighton tops the bill for this weekend’s latest set of both teams to score tips.

The Reds eked out a 1-0 win at Serie A title hopefuls Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but hopefully their defence will not be so watertight when the Seagulls head to Merseyside on Saturday afternoon.

Last week’s BTTS acca seemed on course for an 8/1 winner with half an hour remaining, but neither Brentford nor Oxford could get the job done at Tottenham and Swansea respectively.

That said, The Panel are 12.5 points in profit over the course of the season and are keeping their fingers crossed that Saturday’s four-fold from the 3pm fixtures will come up trumps at almost 7/1 with one of the betting sites.

BTTS Tips: Liverpool Vs Brighton

Liverpool’s defence has come under scrutiny this season and partly explains why the attack-minded Mohamed Salah has been dropped in favour of Dominik Szoboszlai playing on the right in the last two Premier League games.

That move gave more protection to right-backs Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley, but it did not prevent the Reds from conceding against both Sunderland and Leeds.

Relegation-threatened Leeds fought back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to rescue a point with a stoppage-time equaliser against the Premier League champions on Saturday night and Brighton will be hoping to open the floodgates in similar fashion.

Fabian Hurzeler’s men have the joint-best both teams to score record in the division (73%) and recently lost 4-3 at home to in-form Aston Villa, so they know the way to goal against elite sides.

The last six meetings between Liverpool and Brighton in all competitions have involved goals at both ends and this fixture would have paid out in the previous four years.

The odds are around 1/2 for both teams to score, but a couple of football betting sites go 6/11 on that outcome.

Both Teams To Score Acca: Birmingham Vs Charlton

Dropping into the Championship, Birmingham’s BTTS record hardly stands out at 55%, but their recent form of scoring and conceding is impeccable.

Their last six matches in the second tier have ticked the both teams to score box, two of which were settled before half-time.

Additionally, the Blues have scored at least twice in six successive home games at an average of three goals per match, so The Panel feel confident they will find the net against a Charlton side that have kept six clean sheets this season.

Those have dried up lately, conceding 10 goals in their last four outings, although they scored against Southampton as well as top-two sides Coventry and Middlesbrough during that run.

The Addicks have only failed to score twice in their last 10 Championship matches, so this game gets the nod at 21/20 with Unibet.

BTTS Predictions: Dumbarton Vs East Kilbride

It will come as no surprise to readers of this column that Dumbarton are included as the third leg of Saturday’s both teams to score tips.

The Sons made the cut last week, but all was not going well when they went 4-0 down at Edinburgh with half an hour remaining, only to strike three times in a 4-3 defeat.

They have now scored and conceded in all but one of their 15 Scottish League Two games this season, which included a 1-1 draw with Saturday’s opponents East Kilbride in September.

The Kilby are also generally reliable when it comes to scoring and conceding, with seven of their last 10 matches in this division paying out.

They also have a 75% record away from home and have never failed to score on the road this season, so The Panel had no hesitation in including this game at 4/7 with several betting apps.

BTTS Acca: Edinburgh Vs Clyde

Dumbarton may be the BTTS kings across England and Scotland, but bottom-of-the-table Edinburgh are only just behind with an impressive 87% record.

Only two of their 15 Scottish League Two matches would have failed to pay out this season and they have scored in every match.

That included a 2-1 defeat at Saturday’s opponents Clyde during which both teams had scored before half-time.

These teams are at polar ends of the table, but would be separated by goal difference if Edinburgh had not been deducted 15 points for an insolvency issue.

Five of Clyde’s seven away games have hit the BTTS bull's-eye and another game involving goals at both ends looks on the cards at 8/13 with Coral.
