Buzz Bingo Ltd Launches New Online Casino Site Named Buzz Casino

British omni-channel bingo operator Buzz Group Limited has further diversified its business via the launch of a new dedicated online casino branded under the Buzz Casino moniker.
The fresh domain from the Nottingham-headquartered firm was developed in-house with help from long-time technology partner Playtech.
It comes complete with a wide range of live-dealer, slot and gaming table entertainment from some of the planet’s most renowned innovators including Reel Time Gaming, Pragmatic Play and Blueprint Gaming.
Buzz Group Limited is a stalwart of the British bingo scene but was forced to permanently shutter 26 of its land-based clubs in July of 2020, owing to an insolvency brought on by the financial impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The operator now majority-owned by London-listed asset management firm Intermediate Capital Group subsequently closed a further nine of its 91 retail locations, citing reduced footfall and rising costs.
The company established under the Gala Bingo moniker by British retail bookmaking giant Gala Coral Group has been responsible for the online bingo domain at Buzz Bingo since 2018.
It further improved this domain in September via the debut of a live streaming service to complement the Playtech-developed single instance seamless wallet powering all of its physical and remote operations.

Laura Craddock serves as the Head of Product Management for Buzz Group Limited and she expressed excitement at the launch of Buzz Casino before revealing that the new Gambling Commission-licensed domain features a large complement of online slots.
These include the five-reel Rainbow Riches title from Barcrest as well as Inspired Gaming’s Reel King Megaways progressive jackpot advance.
“It’s very exciting to be bringing a new casino product to market, especially one that brings all the fun of Buzz Bingo to the casino world whilst adopting different principles in its design,” Craddock said.
“Inspiration from the streaming video world has helped to make content the focus of the UI, making it easy for players to find the games they love in a fun and trusted environment they know they’ll get from a Buzz venue.”
Dave Evans, Digital Operations Director for Buzz Group Limited, explained that Buzz Casino additionally offers live-dealer games of roulette, blackjack and hold‘em poker.
He asserted that all of this is accompanied by an array of game show-inspired entertainment encompassing the popular Deal or No Deal: The Big Draw, SpinaWin and The Greatest Card Show titles.

Gala Coral Group sold the majority of its interest in Buzz Bingo Limited to London-listed Caledonia Investments for approximately $335.7million in 2015 following its own purchase by rival sports betting behemoth Ladbrokes, which is now part of multinational gaming behemoth Entain.
This investment was nevertheless offloaded to Intermediate Capital Group some six years later for a nominal fee despite the completion seven months earlier of a refinancing exercise thought to have involved a cash injection worth around $30.6m.
It is now hoped that the launch of Buzz Casino will help Buzz Bingo Limited to improve its fortunes following a 2021 in which the British enterprise’s online receipts declined by some 31% year-on-year.
This drop came as players began returning to the firm’s land-based venues following the disruption of the coronavirus pandemic with its corresponding net operating revenues having increased by 14.4% to sit at around $175.1m.
