As the action gets underway on Tuesday, we’re hoping to kick off with a winner on the opening day of the Festival, setting the tone for an exciting few days of top-class racing.

We have targeted the two big races of the day in the Arkle and the Champion Hurdle, as well as covering the Mares' now that Lossiemouth has been diverted.

14:00 Cheltenham: Majborough

With Sir Gino ruled out for the season Majborough was always going to be a short price for the Arkle.

He is unbeaten over fences and was always had the potential to be an exciting chaser.

Despite a couple of untidy jumps at the Dublin Racing Festival he still ran out a nine length winner and he is clearly a horse with a huge engine.

He is up against better horses here so I think they’ll go a better gallop and he’ll jump better. He has the potential to go right to the top and should be hard to beat.

15:20 Cheltenham: Lossiemouth

It is a shame for racing that Lossiemouth never went for the Champion Hurdle but it is understandable given she is still such a young horse.

It would have been a tough ask off the back of that fall but against inferior opposition here I expect her to get firmly back on track.

She is still a very talented mare and is deservedly a short price to notch up another Cheltenham Festival win.

16:00 Cheltenham: Constitution Hill

I can’t wait to see Constitution Hill take back his title in the Champion Hurdle.

He thrashed State Man by nine lengths two years ago and his issues have been well documented since.

He has won two from two this season and Nicky Henderson seems convinced he has him back to his best.

His jumping will put all of these under pressure and if Brighterdaysahead tries to go hard I think that will only play to his strengths so impossible to oppose.
